i dont live in montreal i live in windsor ontario. windsor is crazy, windsor is nicknamed sin city, and its for a good reason. i have a strip club exactly 1 block from my house like a 45sec walk

I woke up one morning and decided I wanted to see another country, but I only had two days off work, and not alot of money, so I hopped in the car and drove to Windsor. No joke, strip clubs EVERYWHERE. I also noticed alot of funny little differences, like the fact they don't sell alcohol at gas stations, you have to actually go to a shop specially for alcohol. They also couldn't display the cigarettes, they were in cabinets.
Biggest difference though the how polite they all were. On my way into Canada, I got selected to have my car searched. All the Canadian border patrol guys were in good physical shape, dressed very well, did a very good job searching everything, were very polite, proffessional, etc. When the search was done they welcomed me to Canada and then gave me tips on where to go and what to check out. They guy told me that Canada also has no nudity laws, so a woman can have her shirt off in public (is that true!?).

Coming back was a different story. I have never been so disrespected in my life, and i am in the Army, so I have had my share of disrespect.
The American border patrol was fat, out of shape, dressed sloppy, had a tiny little building that resembled a garden shed, checking my vehicle consisted of popping my hood, opening my doors, then they were done, etc. The number one problem though was that I had to go inside their building and basically get questioned about nothingness and told i was a complete stupid, douche, asshole, idiot, moron for two hours. I asked why they were giving me so much crap, since i am an American citizen, and asked if they even wanted me back in the country, and their reply was "hell no we don't want you back, we already got way too many foreigners here, we want as many people to leave as possible"... my reply was "If you don't like foreigners thats your problem, but I'm not a foreigner, I'm an American!"

Canada = Clean, awesome, fun. Border patrol was athletic, respectful, and very proffessional.

America = Dirty, boring, etc. Border patrol was fat, sloppy, rude, ignorant, and didn't seem to actually do anything except insult me as much as possible for as long as they could hold me.

No wonder people who visit the US end up thinking we are assholes!

Not sure about the nudity laws... it should be ok, but I still think there are people who dont like seeing naked women... usually the fat ones have a problem with it. Maybe thats what they should make a law, everyone in canada should have to be in shape, then being naked shouldnt offend anyone.

this sounds like the south. They only sell alcohol in the liqour stores and all ciggarettes are in a case above the counter. Here where I live now you can get liqour anywhere. The people are a lot nicer usually in the southern states aswell.
