Mother****er tried to hit my car with a table

Leaving my house late at night, dark out. Start going down the road to leave the neighborhood, a little too fast but probably just 10 over. I see two women and a stroller up ahead and I jam the brakes and stop like 20 feet from them. Scared the shit out of them they were about to jump off the road into the ditch to avoid me. I roll really slowly around them.

Bitch calls her man up the road. I assume the convo went like this
"some asshole just tried to run me and your kid over!" and a description of my car

Mother****er comes out of his house carrying one of those white metal patio style tables, lifts it over his head and tries to chuck it at my car. I debate stopping but quickly assess the situation. He thinks I tried to hit his kid and his ugly bitch wife. There is going to be no reasoning with him.

Now though I can't debate what the right thing to do is. I am thinking about writing a note of apology and putting it on their door, but that could lead to a confrontation, possibly my being shot even if he is the hot head I saw last night.

Im moving out of here in 10 days but that seems like a bitch move to dodge them. I can go out the other exit of the neighborhood though and not have to go by them.

I dunno what to do here. I could have a cop escort me over there. Police station is nearby. I think that would escalate the situation; im trying to de escalate.

Im not afraid of this guy. Im not afraid of anything. After this shit happened last night, I ran game on a 9 / 9.5 and got her number and address for a party tonight. Because I'm fearless im like no one most people have ever met. Still though I find this feels like a disturbance in the force so to speak. Like if I don't handle this then I have to own it, let it make me its bitch. So I think the note is the best move what do you guys think?

Next time don't be an asshole and get out and help the guy move the table. Obviously he was trying to bring furniture to his neighbors house and tripped making it look like he threw it at you. He could have scraped his knee and had no one there to help. Asshole!

Car > table.

Don't apologize or leave a note, you have nothing to apologize about. If anyone should apologize it should be the prick with the table assuming you were going to run his family over.

Let it be. If he starts an issue again, then take action.

I was with a friend when I was younger and we were driving in a best buy parking lot in a loud truck.

So this couple let there 3-4 year old bolt across the parking lot. They run and get him and we didn't even have to slow down because they got the kid in time...but then the guy throws his wallet at our truck. Like it's OUR fault that he can't control his kid. It's just a bi product of society today...it's always "oh HE almost did this TO ME...never "oh sh*t i'm a moron and need to watch out".

Almost had the same situation, we were driving through a large parking lot trying to get to an arts and crafts shop called Micheals. Im with my girl, we're driving regular lot speed and this bitch starts honking and gets my attention in the lot, meanwhile her kids are walking out of the store in front of the delivery truck blocking my view of them. So the mom has me looking at her and out of the right corner of my eye I see the kids thorugh the delivery trucks windsheild so I slow down before I even get to them and the woman starts having a shit fit and running at us telling us we were speeding and she's calling the police and reporting our reckless driving... then I told her to relax and she threw her cellphone at my car.
