Not to go off topic too much but what drives me nuts is you people that are so frikkin fast texting that I cannot even answer the first question or comment before your impatient ass sends another one..I never text while talking to someone mostly cuz I cant,but even if I could I wouldnt..

KP I cracked up so hard at my quote you edited lol, but anyways the only time i get pissed about a bunch of texts is when im talking to more than 3 or 4 people. Have you ever had 8 people texting you and tried keeping up?? It gets pretty difficult and I get pissed because as soon as I send one back I get another and needless to say I tell them i gotta go or something because Sh!t it gets annoying lol

I've got one of those shitty [phones where each button has three letters and a number. if you happen to need two letters off the same button, you have to mentally count... 1, 2, 3 before you get to the next digit. very slow, but I only text maybe twice a day on average.

It's funny. My kid has a droid (no, not DATA from StarTreck), it's all tricked out, does all this sh1t, really cool, right? yeah, but the friggin battery only lasts a short while (mine can last three days), and on top of that, those fancy ones don't seem to last too long either. he goes through about one very six months (mine is a few years old.)

you are right about them not lasting that long I do agree, however they do go through alot more usage im sure than yours. But most of the phones now arent quite as solid as the flip phones a few years ago that would last until the buttons wore off. My phone locks up and goes slow alot but normal just when I need to clear out the memory and stuff, but it definately needs a new battery the current one doesnt last long at all not even a whole day unless I dont use it at all

I resisted cell phones for the longest time. Took a job at Dana as a plant controller. all the managers had company cells. which meant they got bugged non stop at night and on the weekends. I was like.... if you need me, there's my phone sitting on my desk. Finally, i caved. got my woman one back in '05 when we went to sturgis on the harley... for "emergency" purposes. now I carry the damm thing around with me everywhere.

although, I totally have to admit, they are kick asss for bootey calls when your woman is at work, and I sit here all day dinking around on this BB

2006 ultra, with a screaming eagle 103" kit, 10.5" - 1 compression, kick ass stereo and 4 speakers! pumped up race cam (can't remember the specs), ported, polished, extra stiff clutch, sh1t mate, the only thing I don't have on this bad boy is a pro-charger (next bike). it looks pretty stock on the outside, but I'm kickin over 105ft/lbs of torque (still have the charts from last dyna tune to prove it). I was going through the rocky mountains two years ago with my woman on the back... steep hills, woman on the back, doing 95mph, and had plenty of throttle to go. I've had this thing up to 130+, but as you know, the ultras are throwing alot of surface area, including faring. And the cool thing, is i can go 150 miles on a tank.

And mate, we may have a problem. You said that's YOUR WIFE?! I hate to tell you this, but she's been hangin over at my place lately, looking lonely, hungry. So I thought I was doing the right thing and was helping her out with that. But I will do you a solid. next time she comes over, I'll send her back home to you. Fair enough?

Glad to hear your still rollin!! I am supposed to go San Diego, hook up with some buds and might end up in Tecate....MMMMmmm Ice cold n straight from the factory..Might be my last ride for a while since I have to have back surgery soon.DRAG..

I agree with your OP 100% Times Roman. To me it's the same as someone carrying on several phone conversations when you are at a social activity with them. I think it's rude unless it is something of importance and think the person should excuse themselves before answering to acknowledge it is impolite so they should acknowledge that to you before answering by saying something like "please excuse me but I have to answer this as it is my boss, my wife whatever"

I haven't quite put the cover on mine yet. didn't do much riding this year, bucks a little short and rehabbing my left knee, so just took it easy. A very cute little seniorita wanted me to "swoop her off her feet" a few months ago in Long Beach. I almost went for it, but I'm really crushing on her and decided against. (A couple of margaritas and I'd probably do something I would regret later). I regularly ride all through the Sierras, From Sacramento down through Merced, and west all the way to the coast. This is more or less my range for a one day ride, and in my back yard. As such, no overnighters for me this year. Usually, I'll go on maybe three major runs a year, depending. In the past, most of the time it was leave the women at home, and the guys would take off to go raise hell and flirt with the ladies. I take that back. I did go on one overnighter this year, the frog jump at calavaras county fairgrounds in angels camp. got a hotel right next to the nugget, parked the harleys and partied our asss off all night. this one chic was hitting on me early, and I thought she looked a little road weary. we left that bar and hit up a live band for a couple hours. finally we came back to the same bar, and there was that same chic again. funny thing, she was looking alot better. so I saddled up next to her, she grabbed up my black leather cowboy hat and put it on her head, and we danced a little, doing the grind. Anyways, I somehow was able to control myself enough to say good night and back to the hotel room without her.

You ever notice the women always look best at last call?

Anyways, I'm hoping that next year will be different, and I'll be able to go on a few major runs again. Street vibes in Virginia city for sure!

Nice...yeh my last run was a short one to Palm springs,but what a blast it was.the whole strip was pretty much shut down except for bikes,crazy amount of heads there.Rode down there bout 25 deep and partied my ass off. 10 of us stayed in one motel 6 room from about 3am till 10am then the painful ride home..The room was frikkin trashed felt sorry for houskeeping..heheheh
