are you elite?
i seen this chart the other day and thought it was interesting. figured it would be cool to see which category some of you fall in, that is if we can get someone to be honest about their stats on a forum...

how would you go about benching 343? and if thats elite for weighing 181? then at one point i was super elite lol according to this chart id be somewhere between advance and elite when it comes to bench, not so sure i like the chart tho seem rather "retarded" in imo.

the bench was the only chart that seemed low to me, i fell right at the elite level, but the other ones (squat, deads, clean, etc) i was around 50lbs short.
it said only 2% fall into the elite category on the lifts.

Ridiculous chart, to say the least!!! Those numbers are way too low for elite, IMO.

tht chart is complete BS.
to give you an idea, at senior class i squatted 260kgs and dlifted 270kgs in competition @ 87.6 kg body weight and im far from elite, but according to the chart im ahead of 125kg squat class and 110kg dlift class!!

if there are going to be a lot of elite lifters in one place, i suppose that this would be the place to find them.

Those numbers are based off of peer groups with a minimum of 12 weeks of training to be included into the data. To say the least, these numbers are skewed in the sense of todays numbers. Most of this data was collected in the 70's and 80s when really weight training was not as popular or as advanced as it is today. Think of it this way, if you took 100 guys at random off the street and had them perform a 1rm, you could basically arrive at roughly the same statistical data.
