I am too darn gullible. It's one of my character flaws. This guy was really convincing.

I was approached by 3 ppl in a short period of time. The first 2 were working the parking lot at the mall which i didnt realize until after. I thought there was only one girl and then the guy showed up out of nowhere. I am thankful I wasn't harmed. I actually rolled down my window. They wanted some cash. Help a brother out. I had just withdrew some cash and it was still on the console. Uggg. I was scared more then anything. I don't think they saw the cash, said maybe that person does. They moved on. I ran into the store after a safe distance and told the manager those folks were bad for biz.

Gal bee lines straight towards me in a store. Can I have some cash for food. Of course she has a smart phone in her hand. I just said I didn't have any to spare.

I have been scammed for a few dollars here and there. I also believe in karma.

I also get the typical pan handlers who ask if you have any change. I always say yes, then keep walking. I wohldnt want to lie; I do have change. Im just not giving any to them.

It caught me off guard because I didnt see her walk up and normally I am VERY aware of my surrounding. Reflex kicked in and I went in self defense mode and was in fighting/blocking stance. I think this scared her a little and I also said NO without even realizing it. She turned and walked away towards her mom (I presume) standing just a short distance away.

I actually got a sinking gut feeling as I walked into the Casino and really felt like she/they were legit. I dont typically fall for the using a kid for your scam tactics but I really felt this was not a scam. I went back outside to find them and was going to give her a $20 but they were gone.

I say sometimes you have to go with your gut and if you really feel it might help then go for it. That said, as I have said 99% of the time I dont give anything.

If it's in Reno, 99% of the time in that situation, the mom blew her welfare on gambling or drugs (or both) and is using the kid in her begging pitch. I've seen that same crap in Vegas around Maryland Pkwy. It sucks because if you give them money, you know the money isn't going to help the kid. It's just going to go for more drugs, alcohol or another bet.

It's too bad we can't call CPS and have them pull the kid out of that situation and in with a relative that isn't such a fvckup.

He...... It was a he and he did look back. It didn't phase him at all.

Another time I was walking in the city and an older black man was walking towards me. He was screaming "the white man is holding me down!" and I mean SCREAMING. He got into this middle aged woman's face and called her a white piece of sh*t. He Told her that she was holding him back. Then he moved on and saw me next...... He stared me down but didn't open his mouth. Then as he passed he started screaming at an older man with a cane.

People never cease to amaze me. Idunno why there's so much hate.

No but it doesn't mean it is bad either. It may have all been legit but still not the right way or forum so to speak.

To bad but I hope it all works out for him. From what he said and I have read he has been in a hard spot for a while. It wold be nice at least to hear everyone got what was promissed but I guess that doesn't change the fact what he did is not allowed?

totally agree, his posts for the past few months have been rather controversial to say the least. but one or two senior members have commented that previously he had been a coherent, contributing member. although i don't think i remember seeing any off his better posts. must be before my time.
