Whatwould you have done?
Questioning my actions today and wanted to see how you guys would have responded to the same situation.
I often work out with a set of headphones in my ears with the cable going into my pocket and not even connected to anything just so people won't talk to me and interupt my workout.
Today, I was doing some cable flies and two young guys still wearing the local highschool team tshirts, were doing some tbar rows next to me, when i overheard some compound names in thier conversation that got my attention.
I heard one of them talking about how he took halo for 4 weeks, talked about how "sick" his strenght gains were. Later on in the conversation I heard him say something about ordering enough dbol for 4 more weeks and he was telling his friend how he was trying something as a preworkout called Cheque drops .
Ok I know what these compounds are and what they do, how they should be used, and by who they should be used if at all.
So what did i do? I finished my last set and I walked away. Been thinking about it ever since i got home. Knowing that it probably wasn't the morally right thing to do, but wondering how i could have approached the situation.
For being fresh outta highschool these two were pretty jacked, with bacne and bloated faces to match. Not sure if they woulda listened to me at all if I'd said anything, or hell if they even woulda acknowledged the fact that they were talking about AAS?
Opinions?

I would have done the same thing you did. most likely being a waste of time advising them, plus then it shows what your into.

You should have asked how much they were paying, compare it to your source and if their prices are better, join in the conversation and try and get a better deal for yourself.

I think you did the right thing. Another thing to consider is if your gym has a substance policy and you let on to the idea that you had knowledge of such stuff, they could give you the boot.

I have an easy solution to that -- Plug the headphones into something. I hate hearing what other people say.

Ya i would of just walked away. You don't need to get in that conversation then have them bugging you everytime your in the gym on info or contacts. They wouldnt of listened if you told them to stop anyways. Im not old or anything but i have learned young people just dont care what elders have to say anymore.

Opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one. Keep yours to yourself and just ignore it.

I would have walked away too. They are going to do what ever they want anyway and your opinion would never change thier mind. Sometimes kids are just stupid.

seriously doubt they would have listened. at that age, they are obviously smarter than you, right?

It would have been hard to change their minds on anything at that point. One guy at the gym wasnt going to mean a thing to them. I know it was tough to hear it but i think it was the right choice on your part.
I remember working with a pretty big pro bodybuilder at a club once (he was a bouncer for fun twice a week). I would talk to him all the time. he said anytime a guy under about 22 came asking for anything that he would say he didnt think they should do it. if they were persistent, he sold them amino acid pills and said it was powdered dbol that he capped himself. On more than one occasion he had guys coming back saying how great it was and they wanted more

^^placebo effect in action huh? Either that or just kids being kids. Maybe his approach was the responsible one. Its got to the point now where if kids wanna try something they'll find a way to get it. Better amino acids than something like halo, oral tren , or even worse some of the prohormones out there
