quad core 2.66 running at 4ghz 1333 fsb 8gb ram...2x480 gtx...everything but the vid cards are 6 years....i play fps at the lowest res it will allow with bells and whistles turned off (except distance and things you need) so we shall see..but i can always use an excuse to build a shiny new one

I wish I still had my C64. I saw one in a museum once and got nostalgic.
Back to BF3...anyone find any glaring bugs yet?
The only thing I've experienced was trying to melee a guy arming one of the boxes and the animation wasn't there. He just died.

well it's a beta so there are many glitches and graphical anomalies ...people who take advantage of the glitches (glitchers) are annoying...terrain destruction is disabled for the beta
....all in all it's good...takes a while to get from dying mostly to getting more kills than deaths..i'm up to lev 16 with about 6 hrs of play.

I played the beta, i dunno how i feel about it yet.. .its really hard to find people and where they are... one of the reasons i like the CoD series is how fast paced it is... But i do like the map's and graphics and guns... just guess i have to figure out how to see where everyone is..

Very true Hit. I consider myself a very good player and when i started i was getting killed every 30 seconds. After a little bit of practice i now find myself where i should be at the end of the round....number 1 ! LOL
Has a totally different feel than BC2 has which is a good thing. I can't stand that they don't have mouse bindings in the beta. I find it so annoying i almost stopped playing. All it all, going to be an awesome game. I am not sure how i feel about this browser base menu idea so far. Need to get use to it i guess.

no mouse bind affects me big time as i use my mouse side buttons for prone and crouch...also use my middle wheel button to change rate of fire...fumbling around the kb for these keys gets me killed a lot...not sure if i like how they implemented the map...otherwise i'm liking it..i never played bad company games, just battlefield '42, 'nam, and 2. current lev 19 with 9 hours...saw one guy who was lev 41...wondering if leveling will be this easy in the final

I love some of the innovations from bf3, but the game engine drives me insane. I actually canceled my preorder after the demo was released, it just doesn't feel as smooth as cod.
I think cod needs take note of some of the ideas bf3 has brought to the table.

It's a beta...it isn't supposed to feel as smooth because it's not a final product. It isn't intended to sell the game, it's intended to help iron out glitches and errors before the full game is released. What is so hard for people to understand about that? Originally Posted by SmokeEater
