How do you guys get to sleep?
It's been a question on my mind for a while. I can't ever seem to go to bed early and have no need to do such tonight as I'll be working a grave tomorrow. I always feel I have energy though I know I'm tired. It's great while I'm up but a real prob when trying to sleep. I had many restless nights in the army as well which was horrible for early morning pt and such. It's no worry now as I'll be working graves, I actually find graves to work best for me as I can go straight to sleep after coming off with no problem! Anywho, what do you guys do? I've tried melatonin only to wake up a few hours later especially if I tried going to bed early. Sometimes when I get that way I'll just take care of household stuff or if I have the option of logging in some extra time at work go in extra early! Lol. If only my body would listen to my brain! Lol.

I work graveyard shift 3-4 days a week so it's 10x harder than normal for me.
I take Melatonin but it doesnt do much. I use Ambien when needed and once in a while take a muscle relaxer to keep me out 6+ hrs.
Usually if I can get 4hrs without anything I am doing good but then once ever 2 weeks or so I waste a full day sleeping.

You could try some OTC diphenhydramine (benadryl), I use it probably once a week. Or tylenol PM, has tylenol and diphen component, is really what I prefer. Also avoid caffeine and stimulants before bed time by a few hours.

i had to get on ambien once before. it helps and i use to like the way it would make ya trip out! try to get a normal sleep pattern, this is the only thing that helps me. also, the OTC can help, but watch out, you could get dependent on them

Careful because it can be addictive. Force yourself to stay off it for at least a week at a time once in a while. Yeah even if you have to go 24hrs without sleep, eventually you will sleep. I try not to use it more than 2x, 3x max a week but then go a week or two without.
BTW, girls are crazy on ambien. Any inhibitions, shyness or reservations in regards to sex is gone, anything is G2G. LOL I'm just sayn so be careful who is around when you take it or you might hear some interesting stories in the morning.

I follow a ritual. I also don't read or watch t.v in bed. Our bedroom is for sex or sleeping. I believe I am just conditioned now that when I go to bed that its time to sleep. I have never had any sleep problems however.

Ive been having trouble sleeping these past couple months so I am using melatonin now. IVe gone from a shitty 3 hours sleep to an uninterupted 5-6 so its helped a bit
