Bad news for PSN owners, your personal information has likely been stolen.
http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...een-stolen.ars
Sony finally admits that the reason the service has been down is because everyones personal details have been STOLEN.
They are certain these things have been stolen:
Your name
Your address (city, state, and zip)
Country
E-mail address
Birthday
PSN password and login name
They are not certain if credit cards details have been stolen, but they are saying you should presume they have been just to be on the safe side.
I noticed a previous thread, someone going "yay I can play COD again" but im amazed no one is actually bothered about this. I mean why is SONY keeping details of your credit cards? I'm a 360 owner and i havent played that thing in months, but damn...if I was a PS owner i'd be checking my bank details PRONTO!

if you don't use a credit card, and a junk email address, not much to worry about. I never give anyone my actual personal information

I'm wondering if this is connected to the reason why as of a few days ago I can't log into my email now, saying it's the wrong password, and when i try to change it, I can't get my second security question right. fuk...

Anyone and everyone at some point is going to have their personal information stolen be it the internet/online or other more conventional means. You just need to do your due diligence and fix it when it gets broken. It's a PITA but it can be corrected.
