    Cheapest route for divorce?

So of course I've never had to do this b4. But we've been split up since January and it's time to get a divorce. We have had zero kids together though she has adopted 1 of her sisters kids and currently has rights to another but I have no involvement with such. She constantly calls and wants us back together however going against my emotions I know in the long run it will be better to not go back and to finally end this and file for divorce. Was just wondering where I might start?

If she will cooperate to some extent and not attempt to get any alimony or property settlement you should be able to just go down to your local court house and ask for the paper work(price varies) and file it yourself.

before you file anything, make sure you go over the laws for your state. If you have no investments, property, or kids, you can file yourself w/no need of an attorney. But most would advise to get an attorney. Cost's vary depending on whether or not you get an attorney.

Every state is different. Oftentimes there are legal forms businesses that sell a kit. They can review the forms and submit them to the court. This really works best when the divorce is uncontested and you split all the assets and liabilities in the filing and have no other issues that require a court appearance. If it is contentious at all, I would recommend an attorney.

I am not an expert, but the above example is exactly what my first wife did in Nevada. It cost a few hundred bucks and flew through the court with no problem.

Move to Alabama, join a shrimp boat crew and never look back.
But seriously, depending on the state you live in and especially without kids it is easy. Just go to the court house and ask the clerk for a packet for a divorce. Fill it out and then pay the fee, usually around $150. Just be sure you tell them it is a dvivorce with no children.
You will most likely have to wait 90 days to see the judge, and she doesn't even have to show up as long as you agree on the splitting of property and bills. And Uncle Money take this next peice of advise very very seriously.
