Stickies
Why do we have the same old stickies here? They are so inadequate.

I like them. Some seem a little relevant due to how old they are but most have a lot of good information. I use them all the time when replying to newbies giving them some direction on what to read and learn instead of parroting or repeating myself all the time.

Stickies take time to create. Much research should go into a sticky. References studies are always more impressive than opinion. Experience is supreme. We'd need a willing mod or vet to update them, and I am all for that. I love reading up to date information, that's been tried and tested, and not just proper on paper.

I agree....anyone is free to start a thread and any member can suggest it worthy of being a sticky. Since ive been here thats where most of them originate. Just keep in mind - the stickie you write today WILL be considered inadequate in 5+ years - thats the way it goes - knowledge and experience evolve - this is well reflected in the stickies. This is also evident if u look at posts from 5+ years ago. I sometimes smile - even at myself when people vehemently argue that they are right or state their opinion as fact (i do this as well at times) -when i think of things that were "right" or "fact" 5 - 10 even 15 years ago !

Diet Section:
* http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...=#.Tice1c3qqeY
- Something that shows how people should write out their diets (format) and where to get the information to get the calories in their foods
* We also need a list of example diets that people have with macros written out. Many new members just copy the diet forum sticky but there are much better diets and varieties than that one. I tried to get that started and I have a long list of foods I copy and pasted from other members plans.
* I believe the how to bulk and how to cut stickies need to be redone or at least added to.
Workout Section:
* Cardio - http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...=#.Tich4c3qqeY
* We need
Base and others have made great posts that top stickies imo. I can find more later I just realized I am 15 minutes late for work!

The workout section needs more stickies on other training programs and the theories behind them.
The diet section needs stickies about the classic questions (how much protein should I consume - Which I have already written but can't find but it's on my computer).
I have seen some great articles on here that should be stickies by many members (Baseline comes to mind recently) but they never cycle out the old. Just wondering if there is a legit reason for it? Gotta keep the site up to date.
