I used to dabble in the left handed cigarettes, you know the roll your own type. But it caused me to lose too much motivation and gave me the munchies so I gave it up 5 years ago. I'm glad I did. Man that stuff stinks when you've been away from it for a long time.

I have fallen victim to the addiction once again.

I also used to smoke. Quit a few years ago when they ran the adds with the gentleman that had the hole in his throat.
After seeing that I tossed a carton of them right in the trash.
One of the best moves I could have made being that cancer runs in my family.
Best wishes in your attempt to kick it.

It's a struggle man just stick with it. Put double patches on the neck if you have too lol.
I was unbearable for the first year.
Always on edge, angry.
So I went and brought a heavy bag.
And when I would have cravings at home I'd just hit the sh1t out of that thing till I was so exhausted, the last thing on my mind was smoken.

Isn't it so much easier to fly lol when you don't smoke. When i go out on the bike my hands don't fall asleep. I can breath. The walls in my house aren't yellow. Man I hated that more then anything.

Smokers are Jokers, sorry it had to be said like. Both my parents smoke but I've never bothered with it to be honest. I'd rather spend the money on food or pedril for the car.

I gave up smoking for dipping though I do enjoy the occasional cigar. Funny thing is that I don't think I was ever really addicted. I do it at work but when I take time off from work I get no cravings. Doesn't matter if it's one day off or 2 weeks off...no cravings.
After starting the dipping though cigarettes don't even give me the slightest buzz when compared to that first dip of the day rush.

ex smoker here. I have done it off and on a few times since youth. Once I got close to a pack a day I quit because I knew it was becoming a habit. I admit it was not easy the last time, I kept finding myself having many excuses to light one up or just the habit of doing certain things while smoking.
I'm glad I quit for the cost saving alone besides the health benefits. I'm not one of those who turn my nose up to those who still do or pretend that 2nd hand smoke is going to kill me if I walk into/through a cloud. LOL I believe everyone has a right to chose their own poison as long as it's not hurting anyone else.

not judging, just not sure why a bloke would go to all the trouble, working out, supps, aas, 6x meals a day, cardio.....
..... and then shoot himself in the foot by choking down coffin nails every day?

Yeah, I hear those kind of questions every day mate! Im not sure if you've ever smoked or not, but I started because of peer pressure as a kid, like most. I carried on for years making it harder to stop. The addiction grew! Yeah, I gave up for 3 years but personal life and stress just the better of me. I hate smoking mate, but it's an addiction. So hard to quit especially after the length of time I've been smoking

I hear you. They say giving up smoking is next to heroin addiction. I gave it up for several years and after my 2nd wife (ex wife) died I started again. It has been proven to be a stress reliever but quickly becomes a crutch for many things with all the negative side effects. Luckily I knew the new girlfriend didnt like smoking and that would have been a big no to the relationship and I knew I could not hide it for long so I just quit. Wasnt easy, I felt the urge to smoke but that also an incentive to quit also. I dont like anything that has a hold on me like that.

I smoked a few years as a kid. gave it up cold turkey for over a year or so without any prior thought. never craved. started up a couple years later, then gave it up again. I think I was on a first date with my woman, and asked her if she minded if I smoked. Surprisingly, she said yes she did mind. It was an easy decision for me, and really haven't smoked since. that was about 26 years ago. the only thing i like to smoke now are the swischer sweets, wood tip, while i'm scooting down the road on my harley. but even that is seldom. since i've never really been addicted to tobacco, difficult for me to grasp why others don't just give it up. now that i think about it, not really sure if i've ever been addicted to anything. So I guess this is a case of "easier said than done"?
take that back. i think i was addicted to something. even though i gave it up many years ago, i still thought about it frequently after....
ok... i think i understand
