so if we take the total number of years that everyone spent in school, divided by the total number of users, then we can find the "Average education level of blokes posting in threads here....."

To me there are different levels of "mistakes" in posting.
A typo is totally forgivable. It "happesn" all teh time. See.
Misusing to, too, two, there, their, they're, your, and you're and such makes me wonder if the person posting knows what they are talking about. This mistake is a lot more common then I would like but sometimes what the person is saying is a lot more important than how they are saying it. So I judge this on a case by case basis.
Intentionally using "keybonics" (I'm totally stealing that term) makes me wonder if the poster is retarded or not. Wut? Axe you a question?

When i wrote this, of course I was a little on the grumpy side (couldjya tell?), but what was frosting me were the titles to threads with misspelled key words that made no sense. IMHO, if you don't have the time to at least get the title right, especially the key words, then maybe everyone else doesn't havee the time to take it serious..
I agree there are totally forgiveable wrods due to transpositional or ddouble strike, but damn! Let's at least get the titles right?????

I read, A LOT.
Absolutely loved reading The Hobbit. I was travelling through the Himalayas at the time so I had quite a bit for my imagination to draw on.
LOTR's was completely and utterly boring. Quite dissapointed with that. It was like reading the Bible. Everyone begating everyone, etc.
Recently read "Wind through the Keyhole" by Stephen King. Best stuff he's done in years.

I was reading one of the Reacher series, he was in a mine shaft full of meth and several tankers full of kerosene, and someone throws in a firebomb....
the book leaves you hanging since it continues that there is scorched earth for hundreds of feet in diameter, but doesn't say whether he lives or dies.
but the next book which i don't suppose i read has reacher alive and well. so wtf happend in the mine shaft and how did he survive? damm i hate it when they leave you hanging like that!!!

if i remember correctly, somewhere in the next book, he talks about his burns and painful recovery and subsequent phobia of fire, in a flashback. although the first few chapters have him walking around as if nothing happened. ya, slightly confusing.
hope i didn't spoil it for you...
