I miss her every day but she rests in peace now.![]()
Thats a great quote and a wonderful way to live. I had a miscarriage quite a ways into the pregnancy that completely crushed me, and then I had to have a hysterectomy in December which took away my dreams of having a little girl. But I try and look at the bright side any way I can. Not having the crazies once a month has been great. Plus watching my sister try and raise my niece and deal with her pre teen attitude gives me quite a relief lol
Thank you everyone for your support.
My condolences MM13. Life is so very humbling but it's always worth living when we manage to work through the pain and loss. I'm fortunate to have two beautiful kids, a boy and a girl, both of whom I'd lay down my life for in an instant. I'll always have a hole in my heart from losing one daughter but my two other kids are life itself to me.Originally Posted by mrs.misery13

Nothing wrong with emotions bro. Its what makes us human! When my daughter was handed to me, still born, I sat in a rocking chair in the hospital for two hours. Holding her, rocking her, and sobbing my ass off. The only words I could manage to to say to her we're "I'm so sorry baby girl. It wasn't supposed to be this way. I love you". It tore a hole through me and felt like a piece of me was gone forever.Originally Posted by 3Js

Thanks guys.....kind of off topic for us here. We've all lived and lost. I appreciate the kind words. Like I've said, I've got two kids I'm thankful for. They are my greatest achievements and will always make me proud.
Cape you big teddy bear! Come here brother and I'll give you a hug!Originally Posted by Capebuffalo
No, the riddle remains with shamrock 32. I figured Danny Boy (DanB) would solve it. I'll give you a hint:
One meaning: think "counties"
A second meaning: think IRA
Working from home today. Arguing with pharmaceutical companies who think my employees should work for free. Negotiating several contracts while eating, pinning, and posting replies. Hopefully I don't get distracted and inject my food and eat my gear! Lol
This ones is for my little girl. She's the best thing I've ever done with my life.
Sure. Blame the estrogen. You know you want the man-hug.Originally Posted by Capebuffalo

Would that be the 32 counties of Ireland ?
The counties of Ireland (Irish: contaetha na hÉireann; Ulster-Scots: coonties o Airlann) are sub-national divisions that have been, and in some cases continue to be, used to geographically demarcate areas of local government. These land divisions were formed following the Norman invasion of Ireland in imitation of the units of local government then in use in the Kingdom of England.[1] The older term "shire" was historically equivalent to "county". The principal function of the county was to impose royal control in the areas of taxation, security and the administration of justice at the local level. Cambro-Norman control was initially limited to the south-eastern parts of Ireland so a further four centuries were to elapse before the entire island was shired. At the same time, the now obsolete concept of county corporate elevated a small number of towns and cities to a status which was deemed to be no less important than the existing counties in which they lay. This double control mechanism of 32 counties plus 10 counties corporate remain unchanged for a little over two centuries. Since the early 19th century, counties have adapted by legislation to meet new administrative and political requirements.
We have winner! A unified Ireland of "32" counties. The man knows his history. Give him a free bottle of Guinness!!!Originally Posted by Capebuffalo
The other reference is "Ireland's 32", supposedly a more violent faction of the IRA.
