what kinda music do you listen to at the gym?
I'm usually blasting to TOOL, chevelle, metallica, incubus, or rage against the machine. What else is good to get the blood boiling?

^^ yup. Whatever they have on. Not my cup o' tea but I don't like headphones, unless I'm on a plane.

Most of the time I just put the headphones in to keep people away. It's also a humorous to listen to people's conversations in the gym when they think you can't hear them! But to answer the question, I listen to songs that have always stuck in my head. I have songs 10 years old just because I've always thought they were great and I have newer songs that sound great.

Old Metallica. Mastodon. Amon Amarth, they're viking metal and when I get into them its the closest thing to actually charging an ancient battlefield with axes in both hands. High on Fire. Black Dahlia Murder. Rage and Tool are always great!

I can't seem to find things that get me amped up. I love the Distillers. Hard rock with a decent BPM. I tried a lot of other rock/metal bands only to find that their music is heavy, but just plods along. Metallica is frickin' slow!
I can do some electronica/dubstep, but the long builds are boring. I need all drop, all the time. Heh.

My Mp3 player broke so today I had to listen to these two girls at the gym next to me as we were on the treadmill next to each other. All they did was talk about their periods and heavy flows and on and on and on. I went straight from the gym and bought me a new player at Bestbuy! Fcvk that never again....

Funny, while at the gym this afternoon I considered making this EXACT post. I workout in a gym full of Latino packing plant workers (which makes me a monster) lol. If I am in a decent mood I put in my head phones and let them crank thier polka sounding shit but most the time I am not so I walk in hook my ipod to the stereo and it's nothing but PUNK for me. Love me some Pennywise!!!!!

Don't get me wrong. They are my brown brothers. I just can't for the life of me figure out how they can listen to that damn polka shit let alone work out to it. I started training a 19 y.o. kid from El Salvador who asked for some help after staring at me for 2 weeks. He is a genitic monster. His friends tease him in Spanish abou working out with the Miestro (sp) lol.

not in to headphones, so back when i went to a gym it was whatever was already on. At home I sometimes turn my phone on and listen to some junk. But I will expand my music selection as soon as I get a new tv. At that point my sound system will be obsolete and I will move it into the garage and be able to blast some music if I want. Will be plenty of metal, alternative, rock and whatever else I am liking at the time, some sexy bitch singing is sometimes nice too.
