Alcohol?
Was just thinking about this tonight and got kinda curious. Anyway, do you guys ever drink? I mean i know its fine to have a cheat day every now and then, but just kinda curious how much the SERIOUS bodybuilder drinks alcohol. Is it just a beer every now and then? Or what? Do you go out every other weekend and drink?

On cycle I avoid it completely. Off cycle I have a few drinks every now and then. There is nothing wrong with that. But dont go out multiple times a week slinging back a fifth

Well im not a "serious bodybuilder" like youre suggesting, but I do like to go out and let loose every once and awhile. Not every other weekend but Im not going to pass up every opportunity that comes my way. But I can definitely feel the fatigue in my muscles at the gym the following days after a hard night of drinking so I try not to make it too common. But hey, gotta have fun with life while you can.
Also, there was a study on here awhile back that suggested ways to build your bodys natural test production and one way was to include a light alcohol intake. So next time you're having a beer watching the game, you don't have to feel so guilty. And clearly the secret to that is a light amount. Overdoing it on weekend binges doesn't have any benefits other than letting loose and picking up horny drunk chics.

I drink on occasion, the occasion is usually going out to a bar with my friends haha. When I'm on I cut down to maybe once a week or further in between. It's good for your health and easy on your wallet when you do go out. I went to the bar last night with the boys four beers and a shot and I was hammered!

Im currently drinking a beer by the way just because I dont plan on starting my cycle until next week.

I mean, I want to be as serious and diligent as possible with diet/training, but I always feel guilty when drinking a beer or something, maybe a good thing? Idk. But at the same time its like, whats the point of all this if you cant let loose and have fun sometimes?

I don't drink. Not a drop in nearly 4 years :O
But my reasons for not drinking have nothing to do with alcoholism or bodybuilding. I do think i've got a major caffeine problem though.

If I'm not dieting for something or getting ready to compete ill drink every other week or so. Everyone in a while ill have a glass of scotch a night until I run out. Then take a break for a while..I enjoy a good beer or scotch!

I prefer to never drink alcohol, and just sniff coke and pop dingaz before hitting dem clubs. Much better for you.

I haven't drank for 3 months now but prior to this i drank every day From as far back as I can remember the benefits I feel are great
No tiredness
No irritability
Increased energy
Wanting to do things
It also I believe opened the fact that I have low test and since being on trt and cutting I feel and look 100% better
Just as a guide whilst drinkin
6-8 pints every night

I used to love alcahol couldn't live without it would drink morning afternoon or night if I wasnt at work, since getting serious with bb say the last 2 years I can count the amount of times I have drank on one hand, I'm at the point now where I don't at all really, I no longer miss it, and it plays no part in my life I'm close to discusting it now, and really don't see where it fits into a bodybuilding life style, but each to their own, many people do drink and that's fine but for me personally its pretty much one or the other. And I have no intentions of competing I just feel it is counterproductive to my favourite hobby in life

I drink. I want to enjoy my life. If your not making money off your body and looks then its a hobby. There is no sense giving up other things you enjoy for it. Not saying to get smashed every night,
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Quit drinking a little over 2 months ago. Miss going out and partying. I'm sure once next summer comes around I'll be off the wagon. Just need to work on controlling how much I drink. Gains have been coming better since quiting for sure though.

i used to binge 2-3 times per week, almost every week for 17yrs. have been drunk twice in the past 4yrs now. i just have 2 small bottles of beer every Sat night, just for the taste. i dont intend on ever being drunk again, ever.

i really only drink when i go back home. then i go on a 3-4 day bender. wake up at 10am start drinking till 5am and do it all over again. i cant just sit and have a beer. doesnt appeal to me at all

i drank a lifetime worth of alcohol for 5 people by the time i was 30! think it (and everything else) could be the reason im on TRT today.
havent had a beer since 2008.

Same, I look decent but need to loose some BF but as you say if you are not a pro are deep into the whole scene. Life is for living drinking imo is part of if thats your scene. I do enjoy a drink, I haven't been properly hammered in while which is good I wouldn't suggest like you say getting smashed every night but a few drinks isn't going to kill you if you are cleanish on your diet the majority of the time.
