Its wierd how every compliment I get has to come from an outside source instead of myself. Something I'm working on.

Shit me too! Maybe it's a pump you got goin on one day and the next it's down? Makes you feel like you need to hit the gym ASAP haha

I think if we weren't so critical of ourselves we wouldn't work so hard. So maybe it's a good thing. But I'm sure it's annoying to other people like when skinny girls complain how they're getting fat

Muscle dysmorphic disorder, also called body dysmorphic disorder but that is a more general term that includes a spectrum of things...not just feeling small.

I read a book about it. Didn't help what I see in the mirror. I have always struggled with body image issues.

LOL, funny how that works. When I was my biggest a couple of years ago some days I swear when I looked in the mirror I had lost 2 or 3 inches on my arms and smaller than I was 2 years prior.

I usually don't think of myself as that big. but i get these little comments from time to time. three days ago at costco, some bloke at the door asked why i was so angry? im' like huh? he goes yeah cuz your veins are really sticking out of your arms like that. i think it's all about self image. I don't see myself as that big. but then just walking around I usually notice how small 95% of the rest of the men are.

For sure. Being critical on ourselves helps push us closer to our goals

I have this problem, but in my case I am small. While at the same time I get comments from co workers and others about the way I look. Often times I have to take photos to get a different view of myself because everytime I look in the mirror I always look the same.
