    Jeff Blatnick has passed away

olympian and first actual knowledgeable commentator in the ufc has passed away due to some complications from heart surgery. his efforts to help develop mma will always be remembered. not very often you have a legend in a sport who never competed in it. RIP Jeff.

Just calling him an Olympian was an understatement. The man won the gold medal after having cancer. I mean he didn't face the Russians there, but still.

Yeah, he was a great. He also did announcing in the early UFCs. He knew a lot more about the sport than Joe Rogan does.
