If you get banned, there would be no point to changing the forum to "Anabolic Dumbasses"

He is so far off it's not even funny. There are certain trades/jobs/careers that make certain muscle groups grow rapidly. Most mechanics have gigantic forearms, most concrete guys have massive calves from pushing barrels of cement all day long, most old school fisherman have really wide lats from throwing a net overboard day after day and pulling it back, etc.
But I cannot think of one career, especially blacksmiths, that will make you 240lbs+ at 6% bf, other than BBing.Last edited by Gaspari1255; 11-06-2012 at 05:52 PM.

I find it interesting that a thread that touches on religious belief can remain civil yet a thread about a statue turns ugly. You guys are as interesting as ppl watching at the mall lol

hahahaha As they say; Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
speaking of:
A woman is walking on the beach and finds a bottle. She rubs the sand off of it and a Genie comes out.
He tells her he will grant her 3 wishes. She thinks for a few minutes and says:
1st wish I want to be 2x smarter. Wish granted.
After a couple of minutes enjoying her new found intelligence she again wishes to be 2x smarter.
Wish granted. Again after a couple of minutes she decided for her 3rd and final wish she wants to be 2x smarter again.
Wish granted. He turned her into a man.Last edited by lovbyts; 11-07-2012 at 09:03 AM.

there are some jobs out there that will make you a beast. granted, i only made it to 190 at the time. But i pulled lumber at a sawmill (green lumber) on the long side, with non mechanized rollers. 8 hours a day, for a few years. You had to be very strong, AND quick. You utilized your entire body.... calves for pushing off to get the initial momentum of the lumber going, your back, shoulders, chest for pushing. Thousands of boards would come down from the head saw, and we'd have to pull em all off the chain. there were times we'd cut pine, and the random width 8 quarter, each board could weigh 600 lbs or more. and we had to pull em all off. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. pulling and pushing.
it's one of those jobs that unless you really know by doing it, you just don't know. I've also moved furniture, which is NOTHIng compared to this. I've heard other blokes tell me they've had physically demanding jobs, and it really is a fvcking joke when you actually figure out what they had to do.
I had to eat incredible amounts of food. Every two hours, I'd eat a full size meal.... two or three sandwhiches, fruit, milk, beef jerky, rice.... rice had to be brown, not white, as the white burned too quickly and didn't last the full two hours.
Anyways, out of a few hundred blokes working at the mill, there was only me and this other bloke that ran the green chain on the long side. Nobody else could do it. They tried. They couldn't make it the full two hours til the next break.
I'm rambling. My point is that there are a few jobs out there that if you stay with it long enough, you will get very muscular over your entire body.

kind of like this. the lumber would come down fast from the head saw, and you had to pull em off into stacks according to size. the problem was you were not allowed to stop the chain, as this means stopping production. if you couldn't keep up, they would fire you, unless you were someone's boy and they'd find you a pvssy job sweeping or something. I couldn't find a pic of the pine random width, but just imagine wood coming down the chain each weighing 1/3 of a ton, and you had to pull em all without stopping the chain

THIS IS THE MOST IGNORANT POST I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I've seen this stupid god damn picture before, and whoever made it were IGNORANT AS SHIT!!!!!!!!! They didn't take the time to educate themselves on two simple fvcking things:
1. YES, THE ANCIENT GREEK AND ROMAN ATHLETES DID USE ANABOLIC STEROIDS BACK THEN! Although AAS use can be traced back to the classical age (two to three thousand years ago), it wasn't until the 19th and 20th centuries that they were actually understood, and officially discovered and documented. That stupid fvcking photo that you posted with the retarded caption couldn't be any further from the truth! The truth is that AAS use dates back as far as 1700 BC (and perhaps hundreds of years prior) where the ancient Greek Olympic athletes and competitors would ingest the testicles of sheep and bulls in obscenely massive quantities(1). Now before any of you nay-sayers go and pull the line "BUT AAS ISN'T ABOSRBED ORALLY!!!", it is true that Testosterone is poorly absorbed through the GI tract, but read that again: POORLY absorbed. There have been studies conducted in which Testosterone was administered to several male test subjects for a 20 day period where the route of administration was actually oral instead of intramuscular injections used at high doses (400mg daily, which equates to 2,800mg weekly) in several male test subjects, and positive effects were indeed observed(2). The problem with this is that it is obviously not very cost-effective, hence methylation or the advantage of injecting it instead. But it does work in the appropriate amounts, and if you eat enough testicles, yes, you will absorb enough to elicit performance enhancing effect. These smart guys were actually ingesting large amounts of the anabolic steroid Testosterone that is found inside the testes of these animals. Now obviously, these guys had no clue at all about what they were doing. All they understood was "ever since we've been consuming this, we've been seeing increased performance in speed and strength far greater than any other ergogenic aid we've tried".
2. NOBODY LOOKED LIKE THAT BACK THEN!!!!! Those statues and sculptures were more or less fictional depictions of the ideal male - a Greek God or demigod, if you will. Stop watching shit movies like 300 and Troy!!!!This mis-portrayal is so freaking common in Wester society, its ridiculous! For example, Roman Gladiators are often portrayed as big ripped bodybuilder muscular guys. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! The ancient Roman Gladiators were strong, yes, but they did not look like bodybuilders or powerlifters. Their body composition consisted of a high bodyfat percentage (in the low 20s), and their diet was a carbohydrate rich diet with far less protein than you might think. The extra bodyfat provided cushioning against blows in the games, and shock protection against lacerations and such. Nobody ever posed for those sculptures and statues either, the artists would mould them according to the imagination and the mythology (back then a religion) they are based on.
So anyone saying that performance enhancing drugs were not used back then and everyone was as natural-as-can-be should, quite frankly, shut the hell up. To say something like that is out of absolute ignorance. Did you also know there existed a plant back then that the Greeks and Romans used that was an alkaloid which served as a stimulant in the human body that was a bit more effective than Cocaine in terms of its ability to provide energy and lots of strength? It was also apparently an effective aphrodisiac as well. The ancient Romans and Greeks loved it so much that they totally raped the land of all of it and made that particular species of plant extinct. Athletes used this stuff back then and it provided a bigger immediate kick than anything else. Please tell me how is that natural? That's like an athlete today using amphetamines or cocaine just before an event. Those two substances are on the IOC banned list, by the way (and they have been used in modern athletics before). Athletics and the Olympics WERE NOT NATURAL BACK THEN, AND NEITHER ARE THEY TODAY!
And i'll just stop there, because I have a whole whackload more information on the actual attitudes of the athletes and society in general back then, which favored the use of substances to enhance performance at any cost, and everyone ENCOURAGED ONE ANOTHER (including the athletes) TO DO IT!
That stupid picture and the even worse statement along with it offends me because of the ignorance of it projects. Get that crap outta here.

Oh absolutely lol. Because I hate it when people pull this shit like "NOBODY USED STEROIDS BACK THEN!!!!111oneoneoneone". If I back up my claims with cited references, I can put a stop to this stupid ignorance. This stuff honestly makes my blood boil, not necessarily because of the claim these fools are making, but because of the ignorance behind it. If these people did any research themselves instead of just BLINDLY BELIEVING a stupid picture on the internet that some hollow-headed ignorant moron made (without researching the facts HIMSELF too, by the way), I wouldn't have to deal with this crap. It's ignorant, plain and simple, and I have NO patience for ignorance of the type where the information out there is so easily accessible today at these people's fingertips, but they decide to believe stupid crap any ways without bothering to even lift a finger (because that's all it takes) to verify if pictures like these are true at all. Fvck the guy who made that picture.
I'm sorry, but I believe that today in an age of information, ignorance is a choice. I think people should be accountable for it.
Got that right lol. Keyboard all the way!
By the way, i'd like to take that stupid picture and piss on it while it's burning.

There's nothing morally superior about ignoring the science and biochemistry of the past 100 years or so. If you want to live an Amish lifestyle, that's your personal choice, just do so quietly and spare us your self righteousness.
