My G/F has a Siberian husky/Shepherd mix.
For some reason, everywhere that we go...Since the DOG goes everywhere with us, people think that its my dog and always ask me about it. Pisses her off like nothing else because the dog doesnt listen to me at all (well a little) and she's put almost a year into training him.
Dog is awesome. Goes everywhere without a leash. Will sit in one place in front of a store without looking at any one!
Its an awesome dog, and Im planning on getting a purebred shepherd in the next year.
The funniest thing is that her 10lb cat (a stray we got when it was about 1 week old and abandoned by its mother) COMPLETELY dominates the dog, in every way!
Cats rock, but I like the dog too!

I still want to counter this thread with "What kind of Cat do you have," but dont have the balls. Any takers?
Two cats here: 12 year old female gray striped tabby, 8 year old male black & white "tuxedo" cat. Both have short hair.

Jdawg50 how big is your boxer/lab mix?
I have a dog got from the animal shelter they told us he was boxer/yellow lab mix. However he is only 50lbs and almost full grown. A friend of mine came over that has a pit and says he looks just like his pit so I don't know what to think now. He's a fookin pussy when it comes to other dogs though. If a dog tries to attack him even smaller than him he rolls over on his back and pisses. Anyone know a way to get him a little tougher?!? I roughhouse with him all the time but doesn't seem to help.

Well I don't really want him to attack other dogs just be a little more assertive(are dogs assertive lol?) with himself when he tries to play with other dogs. It's rather embarassing when he comes in contact with another dog and it's owner and lays on his back and pees all over the other dog(and sometimes owner!). Oh well.

He is roughly 8 months give or take a month... thanks man i'd appreciate it! Also he doesn't lift his leg when he pisses and never has I don't know if that's related or not... every other male dog i've seen does.

Don't worry about it, my dog didn't started lifting his leg aswell, til 8 months. Now he marks his spot every 10 feet, even if he doesn't have any ammo left.

Anyway I had to put her down 1 year ago today. She was my girl right to the end. I miss her. I encourage all bro's to be kind and gentle to all animals.

How do you get your dog so jacked? What type of excercise and diet?
I have a boxer/german shepherd mix, so he has some muscle, but nothing like a pitbull.

No dog now . . . used to train 'em in the military. German Shepards for police work, and a feisty Cairn Terrier for narcotics. It's been 20-something years and I still miss that little terrier . . .
If I was going to get a dog I'd probably get a small terrier with short hair, something like a Boston Terrier or Fox terrier. Hah . . . I'll have to think about that . . .

I've got an english bulldog. He's a 70 pound beast who has to be the dominant one all the time with other dogs. With people he's the biggest pussycat ever. Loves little kids- he is so attentive when a baby/toddler is around but doesn't go near them. Best dog I've ever had.
I tried to post a pic but it didn't work. He's all white and looks like a barrel with legs attached.Last edited by Bulldog5.0; 05-15-2003 at 08:18 PM.
