I've driven most of them. From 1 series to 7 series and most of the Audi and Merc equivalents when my dad was selling cars. I just don't find that big of a difference between the Cadillacs and the German big three other than the Cadillacs are cheaper to fix. The differences at this point (2011and newer) are pretty subtle imo.

There is a thing called scheduled maintenance. A lot of people and companies overlook that all the time and when the thing falls apart they are the first ones to cry foul. These are the same ones who never change their oil no even check it for that matter. Everything you have described wrong with your ford sounds like a prime example of neglect....If you take a Toyota Tundra or any other truck for that matter and abuse it as that ford has been abused you will have the same issues with them...And yes I work for Ford and am proud of our products and will stand by them 100 percent. Look at our track record on sales of F-150's alone. If our trucks were as bad as you claim then no one would be buying them let alone keeping them number one for 30 or so years....

You have no idea what your talking about. Do u have any idea what an egt sensor is? Btw, my work truck gets an oil change once a week because I drive about 2k a week and it idles most of every day. So every Wednesday it gets an oil change. Along with an air filter, fuel filters, and a wash. I've never neglected any vehicle I've ever owned or driven.

So please tell me HOW on gods green earth is an egt sensor malfunction neglect? Especially when it happens quite frequently around the 75k mark? And the doors rattle in every ford I've ever been in if u take it down a quasi bumpy road. The lack of balls, that's just the 6.7l in this truck. It's gutless, no power, no amount of maintenance will fix that. And the engine died because of that stupid aas sensor. So before you get all butt hurt because someone has an issue with ur beloved ford and start accusing me of neglect, maybe you should find out a lil more about the story and next time google egt sensor before u say something.

All I can tell you is if you are that unhappy with a Ford go buy a Toyota or a Chevy or Dodge....Texas sells more ford trucks than any other state so you must be in the minority when it comes to issues with your truck. One question for you is if you are having these issues why haven't you taken it in for warranty work and get it fixed once and for all?

Did u read the thread at all? It's not my truck, it's a work truck. I did not buy it. And all the only issue I'm having(had) with it that would b covered under warranty would b the egt sensor. Which I went and picked it up the following day and put it in myself. The other issues I have, comes like that factory, like poor fuel economy and no power. And more then likely the reason ford sells more trucks in Texas is because no other manufacturer will give the discounts for does to the oilfield companies, that's why about 80% of the oilfield trucks u see here are fords.

And if Toyota had a diesel, I prolly would buy one. I've owned, ford, Chevy, dodge and Toyota vehicles. Toyota is by far the most reliable. But damn I find them ugly! Dodge has a great engine, tho these new duramax engines are pretty beastly, but dodges trans and interior r shit. And their gearboxes r weak. Chevys, prior to this new engine have had shit engines too, well see how this one holds up, their trannys t top notch. They all have problems, but I bitched about for cuz I was driving one when it broke down on me at 3am

No I didn't read the entire thread I just saw the part where you wouldn't piss on a ford if it were on fire. Now how would you like it if say you made Harley Davidsons and I said a comment like that on here about them? You see my point? That is what made me defensive. It's so easy for everyone to come on here and slam America And it's products. But once we lose all the jobs that go with them then no one has any jobs left. By constantly throwing comments out there like that and this forum goes world wide, well the world figures if Americans hate their own products why should we buy them either. Then we lose more American Companies and more good paying jobs. And when you have kids which you might already then what will they do for a living...work at McDonalds? Do you see my point here? I'm not trying to slam or piss you off or make you feel bad I just want you to know where I'm coming from.

Then that is your opinion, I don't particularly care for Harley's either. Their crank throws r off, yeah makes for great torque, but it also makes for a rough ride and no top end. I've had plenty of people share their opinion with me that was on the other side of my belief spectrum. It's their opinion. You can build ur case without insulting ME. You see where I'm coming from?

Do you think that American originated companies export all they're product over seas? No, they have plants there too, that have their ppl make it. Just like toyotas r made in Kentucky. It doesn't matter how many ppl bash ford, Chevy or dodge in the u.s. it's embedded in them from birth which one to like. Just like most ppl like the same collage football team as their father. It's a tradition or even a cultural thing. If they get phased out its because they're making a sub par vehicle and ppl finally get fed up with it, or they go bankrupt and the government is too poor to bail them out again lol
