    Board Rules and advice

    Group,

I have been following this website since 2005. I have done a lot of reading/research and asked for advice from my fellow peers and the moderators on this site. I have learned that when you want advice on a cycle, diet, and workout routines the moderators ask for your full history including age, stats, cycle history, and diet.

I recently posted a question regarding a cycle I am considering. I listed the required info regarding what I mentioned above and I got a few responses that made me look like an idiot. For example, one post response said I must be doing something seriously wrong if I have ran 10 cycles in 10 years and only weigh 180lbs. If I wanted to be a monster, I would run much different cycles of gear and run them more frequently and have a much different diet and exercise routine.

I just don't understand when you ask a question, provide the information that moderators require, and then get blasted about diet/cycles but then don't offer advice or a suggestion. If you are going to do that, why are a moderator?

I COMPLETELY understand that there are people who are clearly unaware of how to run a cycle, put together a diet, and don't do the research before posting questions. I paid attention and made a legit post and now I feel as if I was 16 and don't have a f'ing idea what I am doing!

I just went through your post you reference and see that not one "mod" even posted in the thread. Since you reference my post specifically in your thread...I stand by my statement that 10 cycles and being 5'10" 180 at 15% BF seems like a waste of steroids . Those stats do not reflect someone who has done 10 cycles.

I understand what you are saying.

I'll have to make certain assumptions about the above scenario you just described.

For me, I only advocate the safe and intelligent use of steroids .

Steroids are, after all, a class 3 drug and if caught in your possession, most likely a felony.
The other issue is that after ten years and ten cycles, you would be much larger than 180 lbs.

See, the idea is that if you are just taking steroids to maintain a "normal" weight, then really no need for steroids, and this can be controlled by diet and exercise alone. Quite often, many here take steroids to get us past our genetic potential, a place where diet and exercise alone cannot take us.

So if you are exposing your body to drugs (steroids) and it is only taking you to a place you could reach with diet and exercise alone, then the question most of us have in our minds, is "WHY?"

If you are taking steroids in the belief that this is the only path to improve lean body mass, I think many would disagree.

So i'm a little confused what your goals are, and why you feel you need to take steroids if you can achieve that goal without their use?

    Respect,
    ---Roman

Indy, I am pretty sure that Lunk1 is LE, so I wouldnt worry to much about anything he says.

I would never listen to any LE, thats takes illegal substances, but will also lock you up if were in possesion.

Indy you have experience and know what you are doing, this site is full of a bunch of parrots. Used to be a great place to socialize and converse with like minded people, but not so much anymore.

    Mate,

Yes, we have LE here. If, and I'm saying IF Lunk is LE (I'm not saying he is), and this is your biggest complaint with him, then I'll have to scratch my head in wonderment because I'm not sure how that is relevant here, especially when we all try to remain anonymous. You really think my name is "Times Roman?" I conceal my true identity for a reason.

    1. Additionally, we have rules in place that are there to try and protect the members. such as don't post your email addy anywhere.

    2. don't ask where you can get steroids

    3. No posting of anyone's info.

    and on and on....

all these rules are there to protect you.

if you abide by the rules, and protect your identity as I have, I don't see what the issue is.

...a little common sense can go along way...!

Indy, I'm sorry that your experience was not up to standards. If you feel more comfortable discussing in private, you're welcome to PM me anytime. If not, point me to the thread you speak of, I'll be happy to help.

I understand your plight. Having said that, providing all the information you're asked for doesn't automatically disqualify you from criticism, assuming people replying feel what you're doing is 'stupid' or irresponsible. However, flaming is against our rules and if you feel that's what happened, you should report it to staff and we'll deal with it accordingly.

JJ, if you feel this way, why do you still log on? This isn't a rhetorical question - I really want to know.

Maybe if you (collectively speaking) spend your time in the lounge, I can see why this would be your opinion. We still have plenty of legitimate, intelligent, and resourceful sections on this board, IMO.

So does being a house painter or a computer programmer make someone more or less knowledgeable? Would being LE make a damn bit of difference? Have I ever asked for your source, your address or your real name?

Indy's problem is that he got somewhat bashed after posting all the things he is supposed to when asking for advice on his cycle.

And someone decided to talk shit on his stats.

Not knowing that the dude went through some major medical issues during that time.

I personally am just annoyed at the fact that some not all of the prople here that give advice or bash people, are actually the exact dude who should not be cycling.

Their really should be a prerequisite, maybe some proof that you know what you are talking about, i.e. pics, experience to be giveing out vet advice.

I really do not give out any advice unless it is something that i have experienced my self.

Yeah. It's a pretty big forum, you could easily get lost. Your comment was in very poor taste.

    Roman,

I admire your candor. You continue to be a great ambassador and leader to this board. Many would do well to follow your examples. Thank you Roman!!

    ---------

As for any member passing judgement on others in this forum, think before you open your mouth. There is not one person here that can claim they aren't without their own shortcomings and faults. Jumping on a soap box professing to be holier than thou is callous, shallow, and down right ignorant.

With respect to Lunk, I have far greater respect for him as an individual than most people I know. He has more character and integrity than the vast majority of people I have been acquainted with in my 44 years living on this rock. What he does as an occupation is immaterial!!!!!

The next time you deem fit to pass judgement on someone, take a long good look in the mirror. I'm certain the person you see glaring back in the mirror is no more a saint than any of us.

And Im sure if you were roofing my house you would charge me full price. I chose my career way before choosing AAS and if you concern is the hypocrisy od the situation...we are all hypocrites. The reality is judging me based on what (barely) pays my bill has nothing to do with who I am as a person. Hell..if ya met me ya might even like me

Before ANYONE gets promoted, there IS an evaluation process. Someone on the staff will nominate a board member for productive or knowledgeable, and then we discuss it. Between all of us staff, if someone is just running their mouth and really doesn't know what the hell they are talking about, it becomes obvious pretty fast. Collectively, the staff here has a vast amount of knowledge, and we use that knowledge to evaluate others.

does that help with your confusion?

Ok so you have a chip on your shoulder about LE great, big deal, good for you, whatever lol. I stand behind Lunk's statement because if you are 5'10 180 and and have 10 cycles that is a waste and there is clearly something wrong with your diet or traning protocol or maybe even the gear you are getting.

JJ78 Im sorry you feel this site is full of parrots but this site has a ton of traffic and the questions become redundant. Instead of complaining be proactive and try to make a difference.

Group I will accept the responsibility for not including my health history in my other thread. I am on a HRT program with my endocrinologist because of one of the diseases I had (listed below). He knows I suppliment with UGL gear to maintain my level of muscle density. As you will also see below, I lost two major organs and nearly died. It has taken me a very long time to recover. Two years after my serious health issues, I went through a separation and subsequent divorce. After 20 years of marriage, I came out to everyone that I'm gay.

So add those factors in, both mentally and physically you'll see why I really didn't feel it was necessary to share my whole life. All I wanted was advice on a particular blend of a product and it's now turned into this. I work in Oncology and have an above average knowlege of the human Anatomy & Physiology & Biology, but a limited knowlege of how anabolics and the combination of which, affects our bodies. I have been using Cyp and Prop and was very happy with my results. Now that my life is back in order, I have a lot more time to dedicate myself and I'd like to change my chemistry and consider a cycle that has Tren as one of the compounds.

Again, my goal is to maintain my weight and muscle density I currently have since I've recovered from my illinesses. I hope this helps you understand where I am TOTALLY coming from.

Not to flame on you bro but..in 2005 I had a colon cancer scare and had to have the ENTIRE colon removed. The mass they found was in the exact location of where my grandmother and father had their tumors. they both died from their disease. I was in the hospital for 28 days and lost 30lbs. My cycle useage saved my life. Had I not been in good shape I am certain I would have died. Then in 2007 I was diagnosed with Graves disease and was treated with I131 to kill my thyroid. 6 weeks post I131 treatment I had a spontaneous K+ dump and was paralyzed from the waist down. I went to the ER and my K+ was 1.6. If your K+ is lower than 2.0 you die. I was in the ICU for 2 days and began walking after my K+ rose above 3.0. Two months after that I was diagnosed with Graves Opthalmia and had bi-lateral orbital decompression surgeries and lost 10% vision in my left eye. Currently I have been diagnosed with a severe vitamin D Deficiency. My endocriniologist has me on 50K iu of prescription vitamin D twice a week. Yes 50,000iu twice a week.

So let this story be a lesson to you and those who bash others because they have completed multiple cycles of gear and they aren't a monster. Although I admire everyone who puts in hours and hours in the gym to be as big as they can be, my goals are very different. I want size that can be noticable and continue to monitor my diet and exercise.

I wish you'd just call out whoever your beef is with - seemingly, it's Lunk, however he's not a Vet, or staff on any level, so the above comment confuses me.

Indy..I am sorry if my statement was so offensive. If you spend much time in this forum at all you will see that it's a daily grind of
(kids) that have nearly the same stats as you claim, wanting to gat huge or "cut up" and expect AAS to be the magic pill.

While it may have had a somewhat negative effect...you will notice my statement/question did cause further explanation of your situation which is pertinent to your OP.

This totally changes my opinion on your stats and cycle history. I apologize and if you have been through all this and are you are at those stats I would say you've come a long way and are doing well. Glad you are still with us today and got to say you have a hell of a drive

I appreciate your post, Indy. But I could have done without that statement I put in bold. I'm glad you're healthier today and sorry you had to go through all that. Can't be easy for sure. Like you said in your first post, be sure to include this info, not only because it explains the size, but it very well could alter one's advice.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck, and I'll be available anytime you need help.

    Mate,

I'm sorry to hear about your health misfortunes, and your position is an understandable one.

I wish I had a crystal ball and can see and understand everyone's background when they ask a question.

Try and understand we have a huge volume of new people coming in and asking more or less the same questions over and over. The tendency to want steroids before they are physically ready is extremely common, and so, quite often, we try to steer the conversation over to that of diet and exercise. In most cases, this tactic is entirely appropriate and recommended.

Your case is an exception, and not the rule. You have issues most do not have. So simply asking a question as you have, without all the requisite background data, the advice you receive will not be tailored for your specific needs, but the needs of someone in general.

The other thing to think about too, is that I choose to volunteer my time here. I do not get paid. I get to come and go as I please, and give advice as I see relevant to your situation. But if information is not known or available to me, the advice I provide will probably not be optimized for you. it's a two way street. Garbage in, and garbage out.

Again, sorry about all the confusion as it relates to your situation.

I hope some of this helps and explains why I do what I do sometimes?

    Warm regards
    ---Roman

[QUOTE] because if you are 5'10 180 and and have 10 cycles that is a waste and there is clearly something wrong with your diet or traning protocol or maybe even the gear you are getting.

QUOTE] ALL might be true BUT I think this is what he's talking about, the automatic thought process is that he's doing it to get big, that might not be true. We all do these things for different reasons. I do it mainly for recovery, so I can go hard (in whatever I do) & not hurt so much, not to "get big" some "self TRT" some want to get big, compete, look better, get more women...or men in a couple of cases, all kinds of reasons.

I'm not picking anyone out, just so happened that post was there, sorry bud. I think another factor is that when people ask questions it's not necessarily the right question, some things it would really help if you prefaced your question or stated your goal. Meh, but what do I know..

Wow, what a story. I'm glad you've recovered so well and are working on improving your well being. It's a tough thing to follow the rules and educate yourself and ask a question and have people pass judgment immediately that you're an idiot waste of steroids without having the sensitivity to wonder if maybe there was something else going on.

I suppose they see so many newbies that don't know what they are doing, and have done for years that the shortcut default is to criticise and not wonder or ask questions to explore extenuating circumstances. Stories like yours are probably quite rare, and in a way this makes the reaction somewhat rational, if you see that I mean, even whilst it's wrong. I hope someone here can give the support and advice you need, and that you have influenced people's thinking here in a very positive way.

    G Brice,

No beef with anyone. Idid not mean to call out any staff either. I was simply stating that if someone is going to be giving advice out they should have some sort of rank, proving that they actiually have experienced aas.

I was calling Lunk out simply because he was talking out of his ass.

And I am not a roofer? I have worked in contruction for many years, but?

And all of my work is honest, I do not take advantage, or screw people over.

Sry Lunk, but I have and my family has had the unfortunate experience of dealing with LE in many different aspects, and I feel....nevermind.

My apologies to the vets and actual experienced folks on this site, it just annoys me when some of these guys are obviosly just parroting, with no real experience.

I think this site is a great thing, full of useful knowledge, but it is counter productive sometimes.

Because you have had unfortunate experiences does not make every experience unfortunate.

I'm not here to change your mind about LE..hell I don't like a lot of em, but it has nothing to do with my experience, my willingness to help and my knowledge.

By the way I just threw that construction thing out there as an analogy...it's not like I am tracking you now lol

    Mates,

Without "naming names" let's not call out any specific individuals in a negative way. If you have an issue, then PM me and I will see what I can do.

the reality on this board is that negativity breeds more negativity, so let's nip this one in the bud before it gets out of hand.

    Thanks!

JJ - I appreciate your opinion but respectfully disagree. I'm a Vet but rarely touch AAS related questions (aside from the most basic) because that's not my 'area of discipline'. Conversely, there are guys without titles who know way more than I do about AAS and are far better suited to answer said questions.

My point is that having a title here doesn't automatically make any of us experts. However, our relatively recent implementation of 'knowledgeable and productive' designations offsets this somewhat. The idea that people should only consider advice from colored members is flawed, IMO. It has to be a combination of a bit of common sense, and the collective input of the responses given.

    G-

I know you do not, and I do not either. I guess what I am saying is that, it is always the same answer to everybody. Very generalized. I know that it is the same bullshit over and over agin, which can be annoying.

F*ck it. I will just stay out of it. I just got annoyed.

But to Lunk, yes you have a job just like I do. You punch a clock just like I do. Well I dont clock in, But.

The difference between your job and my job is that you can very easily ruin someones life by doing your job. I am a convicted felon. I cant vote, not that I care, cant legally own a firearm, cant get a job doing many things, because I was areested and charged for posession with intent of a controlled substance.

I was not dealing. This controlled subsatance is a plant. A f*ckin plant. would have been the same if it was aas. And you would have had to arrest me for it./ Knowing that you yourself use.

How can or could you do that?

I don't think that anyone in LE would hesitate with the arrest. if they see you with a large quantity of a controlled substance, then there really isn't much thought process involved and the arrest is made. It is not for them to judge you.

You + Controlled substance = arrest. Pretty simple formula really.

We all know the rules and risks in what we do. And sometimes we get caught. I don't blame anyone in LE for it. Yes, it can be very frustrating, I will agree with you there.

But I'm not going to single out any particular member in LE and hold them responsible for my actions.
