Typically it takes 3 years to graduate from law school in addition to the bar exam. Personally, I believe the most difficult fields are theoretical physics and pure mathematics. They aren't the highest paying fields though.
I have known three individuals that hold both a JD and a CPA. each said the CPA exam was the more difficult.

Every state has different requirementsl, and they can change over time.

When I was licensed, this was the miminum requirement in California

    4 year degree
minimum two years working for a public accounting firm (internship, the pay was very low)
    minimum 500 hours of auditing
    pass the cpa exam
pass a background check by the department of justice and the FBI

there is no internship requirement with becoming a lawyer. get through college and pass the exam and you are in. no benefit of internship! so when you become an attorney, you have no actual experience, and must rely heavily on "on the job training".

Aw, I didn't know you were only comparing the exams, sorry. I am not familiar with CMAs though. How do those exams compare to CPA exams?

Impossible...it needs to be a MOTORIZED vehicle ie: golf cart, moped, lawn mower.

Might depend on the state. But I will attest to 3 of my employes, all have DUI on their bicycles. But keep in mind, they had the alcohol on them too at the time.

well...YOU, sir, are CORRECT. Georgia apparently DOES recognize a bicycle as a vehicle.

Guess I will avoid riding in that state.

Here the vehicle has to be powered by a motor of any type.

Lmao, well in the restaurant biz. So lot of the employees are illegal anyways. So they all ride bikes. And they LOVE to drink lol.

Have a few that have come to work at noon trashed and barely walk. Not even sure how they ride their bikes in that condition.

a "CMA" is a Certified Management Accountant, and is licensed through a public non profit called the Institute of Management Accountants, an entity recognized world wide.

the exams are similar in that there are 4each 4 hour exams. the testing is "easier" than the CPA exam, in a way. this exam was computer based, and the volume of questions far exceeded those of the CPA. No time to think, you either know the answer or you do not. Really no time to double check any of your answers. Time management was extremely critical. I finished each exam with only seconds to spare, and passed all four parts first time through. Very exhausting!

The difference is that the CMA is more focused on internal, corporate based accounting. Heavy emphasis on manufacturing and cost/inventory accounting, financial ratios, being able to look at financial statements and learning to read it like a second language, heavy into analyticals, and internal controls. These are things the CPA doesn't touch on, so the two (CPA/CMA) together really do have a synergetic quality, and compliment each other nicely.

    minimum qualifications for a CMA
    4 year degree
2 years in a corporate accounting role, hitting certain aspects of the profession and having a supervisor sign off that you have mastered these aspects
    pass a 4 part, 16 hour exam

Some laws just don't make sense. It’s amazing how many laws are still valid yet completely ignored. There is no logical reason for AAS being illegal.

No disrespect man. "no logical reason for AAS being illegal." Read a few of the new members question. If AAS was legal and readily availble every newbie (like me) would have been at the pharm getting in line without the slighest inclination of what or how AAS should properly be used!! (AAS is illegal and this is problem) Just saying.

Again thanks for the advice from this site and the people willing to post!

You think that's bad, I'm still Illegal in 4 states!

States Making Exceptions for Heterosexual Couples
According to a landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court in 2003,

adults are "free to engage in private consensual sex without government oppression," including homosexual acts. However, four states continue to have laws in their legislation making homosexuality a criminal offense: Kansas, Oklahoma, Montana and Texas.

Four other states -- Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri -- repealed their sodomy laws by mid-2003, but only as they applied to heterosexual couples. These states maintained that their sodomy laws still applied to homosexual couples.

Ever notice Iceland is not made of ice (quite green actually), and Greenland is actually bitter cold?

Well, the same is true of Gays. They are NOT happy, regardless the label. they are a mean, vicious, violent bunch, which is why still illegal.

(Well, it sounded plausible before I wrote it down. meh..)

    ...moving on!

Yea hair spray I've done but it did scare the crap out of me. I forgot the ether was spray, I was thinking a can of pure liquid ether. My dad was a doc. and would bring home the canisters of ether. Every so many week he would dump one in the car fuel tank to help clean the cylinders. wow what a bomb that would make. ...crazy mike

as many times as I've been referred to as "old dude"

it's kinda refreshing to be able to return the love and pay it forward

yeah, quick start is used, amongst other things, with heavy equipment (loaders, dozers) in cold weather. Spray some in the air intake, hit the button, and 90% of the time, what was difficult to start before, now starts up.

we had a bunch in the tool room at the motor pool in Georgia (Ft Stewart), and I worked in the tool crib for awhile. When guys got too lippy telling me to "hurry it up" and "be snappy about it" when requesting tools, they'd get a taste of my "quickstart" as a fireball coming at them. Quieted their shit up real quick

That's effin' crazy! We had our 25th Pride event in Indianapolis this past weekend. Over 100,000 in attendance with only 1 protester with a megaphone shouting bible verses. He left within the hour.
