I don't normally watch trials but I watched a good deal of this one.

Based on the trial and evidence I couldn't agree more with the verdict.

Idc either way but from what I understand when he called 911 they told him to quit following the kid. He should have and the kid would be alive. He pushed the situation, and then when getting his ass kicked he protected himself. He should have not pushed the situation. IMO.

You can clearly hear him agree to stop following when the 911 operator told him to. Following someone does not justify them breaking your nose and slamming your head into the concrete.

That's what he said but not what he did. I'm not saying that he murdered him he was protecting himself but he pushed it. As far as following, you follow me I'm gonna give you a chance to explain yourself if you can't than I'm gonna protect myself. Who knows what was going through the kids mind we will never know.

more than likely if someones following u at night...the intent isnt good...

even if trevon did "start" it IMO it would be justified as being threatened and defending himself

What, he wasn't caught doing anything YET. Maybe he wasn't up to anything. So you are a black male , with a hood, in the dark, where he wasn't really where one would be or any hooded man and that's not fishy. Just a little cause to watch and follow. In the beginning, not after instructed to stop. My point you don't know Travon wasn't up to no good....crazy mike

A lot of assumption and personal belief in your post but very litte fact. You ASSUME the kid wasn't doing anything wrong and you BELIEVE Zimmermans actions were the cause of death.

If all he did was follow the kid for a bit calling 911 and got physically assaulted for it, that makes it Zimmermans fault. Would you appreciate if your neighbors called 911 and reported suspicious activity around your residence especially in a high crime area? I would.

I heard on the radio that the verdict would be a major stepping stone for the African American cultural. Those are almost the exact words of the radio host. I am wondering why this is, I don't understand the meanin behind this statement.

I'm not being racist at all, there have been other victims in crimes that have been African American as well I'm wondering why this one is different

Yea zimmerman or my neighbor can call 911. But why follow him on foot, esoecially if he thought he was some dangerous guy in a hood. Call 911 and stay safe in your locked car.

It was raining and he had a hood on. Sorry i didnt grow up in cow polk , ive seen black people with hoods before. Thry aint all out to rape and kill you.

But now a southerner with a gun, scares me allot more thrn a black guy with a hood

There is equally NO evidence he WASNT doing something wrong. Its easy to Monday morning QB and say if he did this or that or suggest your opinion of how he should have done it but....the bottom line is that he did nothing to justify the assault and had every right to protect himself including the use of deadly force.

For the record, I agree that he had a wanna be complex and it put him in this position. That still doesn't mean he committed a crime or should have been on trial OR would have been anything but innocent.

I agree with the verdict, there was too many "what ifs" and unknown's. He still should have to deal with some kind of consequence, which he will by never having his life be the same. Im sure he will have protesters who will threaten and possibly try to kill him. All in all glad to see that the justice system still works by not convicting someone with reasonable doubt!!!

What law did he break?

Following the kid was stupid, but not illegal. What law did he break? I don't see one.

With that being said, if he was following me around, he would have had to shoot me too.

He stated he thought the kids activities were suspicious and called 911. he then followed giving current location and description to the 911 operator. The operator told him to stop following and he acknowledged the operators order.
