What's wrong with those youths... 'We were bored' so we killed him.
BBC News - Three teens charged in Australian Christopher Lane's death
Now should we speak about reabilitaion???...well, as I see it if an orange is rotten to the core you can't make an orange juice. You just have to throw it away.

The reason they killed him was because they were bored and it would be fun. How do you rehabilitate that. They need to be punished to full extent of law.

For once can we not talk about who was white or black and maybe have a discussion on why meaningless shit like this happens.
Whose fault is it? Society? Parents? Government??
Is this the world any of us want to live in. Where the importance of life is lost on the youth of today.
This was apathy at it's purest and that's the greatest evil of all.

And thats why bipartisan politics suck, rather than the two sides actually work on a solution to anything, they think its better to slander the other side and say "it's their fault".
I sometimes think we are losing our values somewhat as a so called civilised society. Politicians dont give a fvck about stuff like this, cause it doesn't happen outside their homes.

This is human nature or at the very least the society we live in. NO one cares about anything or anyone but themselves. Nobody steps up unless the issue directly effects them. How many consistently bitch about politics and govt. yet have never run for any political office themselves.

It's not quite that simple.
Being filthy rich and a major donator of funds is a good way of getting into the MAIN two party system. And having a Law Degree.
For everyone else, there are fringe parties, and while most of these have great intentions, they usually can only focus on one issue at hand, while others are borderline radical.

When do politicians care about anyone but themselves?
I think you are from UK. While I was away I read about those two girls who had acid thrown on them in Tunisa. They were teaching kids and while walking home they had acid thrown on them by two muslims. One of the girls is no longer reconginizable.
You are never teaching extremist to not hate other religions. You are not going to teach kids from the ghetto to act like normal members of society. Both are vicious cycles that few can break.....Its never going to change

Two black and one mixed. The mixed is similar to a Blake Griffin.

Each parent in the video states that "their child did not pull the trigger and they're worried about the future of their kids" or some bullshit like that....What about the future of the dead baseball player who was killed randomly? SHITTY parents like that are why things like this happen. Fathers need to start intimidating/hitting their children like they did years ago. Fear will make a kid act appropriately and steer him clear of trouble. Instead the parents are finding any excuse to defend their kids actions....Last edited by Gaspari1255; 08-21-2013 at 10:52 PM.

Urban life/technology/too much free time.
when I was a kid (way too young to be saying this). Every kid where I was from went to school then worked on the farm/ranch until dark. Friday nights you drank a bunch of whiskey. If you had some spare time sunday, you went skiing, rode motorcycles, went camping, tubing, or fishing.
^^^
make a kid grow up like this and guaranteed he won't get into trouble

Every generation believes that the subsequent generation is lazier, less moral, more decadent, etc, etc. This is the narrative throughout history, I'm sure that those living during the time of the Renaissance thought the world was going to hell in a hand basket, but I think that the explanation is much simpler. Senseless killings like this have happened throughout history, but it just so happens that there are now 6.5 Billion people inhabiting the Earth, so the probability and number of psychologically sickened individuals has grown in number. While tragic and sad, events like this are still in the minority when we consider how many people on the Earth go about their daily lives without deciding to randomly gun down a stranger. So while events like this are sensationalized by the media (and rightly so), we need to put them into perspective when compared with the world around us. People like this in society are why we have prisons and life without the possibility of parole.
With regard to why people commit such acts, my first thought is that it almost always comes down to bad parenting and a poor environment, and then in a smaller number of cases, sociopathic personality disorders. But in almost all cases, sociopaths are triggered by a poor environment. I agree that there is no rehabilitation for these types of heinous crimes.
