question is, who do you use and are you satisfied. Im about to switch. Thanks in advance guys.

I'm with AT&T also. 1 smart phone and 2 regular phones and my bill is just under $150. I 100% agree with ya. Good thread, look forward to seeing the answers because I am ready for a change also.

tMobile - Can't say much, it works & they take my $

Unless you are in a rural area with a primary provider it makes no difference, it's just a giant monopoly now.

Verizon, two smartphones one unlimited date, one 5 gb data runs me 225. Only issue is it cost to dam much and I can't surf the web while talking unless I'm connected yo wi-fi. Other than that, great reception 95% time.

My sister convinced me to switch to att last december. One of the decisions I regret the most this year. Every month the bill comes out to be $120 or something ridiculous like that. I used to have Net10 which is $50 unlimited EVERYTHING. And just as fast on data as att. In fact it runs off of att towers. As soon as I get enough money to break this stupid contract I am never going back again ever.

Ya know I have priced everyone. I could get the bill a little lower but not get the same coverage. I'm mostly rural where I live and where I shop and the gym. Also the home system what I need. So I pay about that for all .....crazy mike

I have a phone not a smart phone BUT I have unlimited text, phone time.

I have had several phones go bad. And its not from user error. Two of them have had problems where the chargers are pugged in, they become loose or pieces of small metal break. Att wont honor them, they just tell us to buy new phones.

We don't even have smart phones. My bill is always in the 120's, its never consistent, always goes up and down a few bucks and we do not have any unusual usage charges. I don't know why my bill is deifferent every month. Im tired of the bs, its always something. I have their internet also, and its the worst I have had. I have had net 10 years ago that was better than it is now in 2013. Just not satisfied anymore

the problem is they don't take care of their customers. The phones are "go" phones, yes they are cheap I know. Its 3G data and no I don't have insurance, that is for phones being stolen or water damaged. My phones are just garbage, they fall apart, and att simply doesn't honor them. I have been with them for 10 years and they don't care whatsoever. Im sure none of the companies do either but im just sick of dealing with them.

yeh its the same across the board..but insurance cover any and everything..and since u onto have a smartphone its only 50 bucks to replace it if u had insurance on it

edit: oh and yeh its 3g but that falls back on Egde

I have used Verizon for almost 10ish years now. I have no plan to change carriers, very happy with them.

I have looked into Verizon. I think the cheapest way to go is something like boost. But you just gotta reactivate the minutes every month, and that may or may not get old fast

$ for $ T-mobile is the cheapest for an unlimited everything with no data restrictions plan. I switched from version about a year ago strictly due to cost did a ton of research before switching has worked well for me. I live in Boston though don’t know how a rural area would be coverage wise. ( 3 I phones unlimited everything with no data restrictions plus a discount from my work 10% off the total bill 190.68 a month can’t beat it, Only 63$ and change per phone)

What kind of special shit you got? My "unlimited" nonsense plan caps data @ 2gb - Read the small print, most don't hit the cap though. For an extra 10 Bucks they bump you to 5gb.

You also need to consider what service works well where you live. Verizon works great where I live but it might be terrible where you live.

Chad, the problem with the providers is none of them have to replace the phones. The only thing that is covered by the manufacturer's warranty is defects in the manufacturing. Accidental damage and wear-and-tear are not technically covered. That's why they sell their insurance for their phones.

In fact, they most likely don't want to take the phone back just because if they did, it'd undercut their phone insurance business which is gives them between 60-75% notional margin.

I suggest next time you buy a phone, check the reviews out on the device before you buy. I wouldn't consider the insurance, because statistically, you'll spend more in to it than you'll ever get from it.

But yeah, T-mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and all the other carries that use their towers don't really care about their customers. There isn't too many alternatives for you to switch to and so they can use that fact to dick you over.
