Dog Fights
I'm obviously not going to post the video I just watched. But let me tell you, I knew this happens all over the world, even here in the US. But this was my first time watching a fight. I am literally sick to my stomach. Seriously I could puke any minute now.
This dog fighting till one of them dies... I'm sorry, but these owners and participants should be put in a damn cage and have them fight each other till one of them dies. That would be a fraction of justice.
Fvcking scum bag humans that just don't deserve to live.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

This kinda shit goes on all the time. I heard of dog food stuffed into puppies rectums to encourage dogs to literally tear chunks out each other.
Some humans don't deserve to live on this planet.

I know a guy who raises and sell Pits for fighting. I been trying to tag him for years but cant prove anything. It makes me sick every time I see him driving around in his pimped rides with no job.

I use to work in the inner city and would watch them train fighting dogs. 50 pound chains around the neck forced to walk around yard, hanging from a rope tied to a tree by their mouths etc.

What kind of man could watch their own dog fight?

I think I saw that same vid... I have a serious soft spot for pitts and especially blue nose like the one I saw in the video I watched. I'm pretty sure both dogs survived because it was still breathing. Made me so sad I want to shoot each of the bastards who were there. They were both beautiful dogs with horribly ugly owners and a sad sad life. Wish I could rescue them. To bad their banned in ontario

Yes. Only because I know the breed I'd say it probably survived. Those amazing dogs have some sort of mutant ability to heal themselves from the worst condition. But by the end It looked very limp and it was either in shock and total submission or possibly a broken neck.
I saw an even worse video a couple days ago of some asshat pulling a dogs tail all over the place and all of the sudden he throws the dog off what looked like a huge building -maybe 7 story. So frickin sad and can't imagine how someone could do these things

I can't begin to describe the way I feel about animal abuse.
If I ever witnessed someone abusing an animal in person, I'm afraid to say that I would end that person's life without second guessing.

I actually don't really have too much against dog fights. Well aside from the fact I don't really think it's that entertaining and don't have any desire to watch it. Maybe it's because I wasn't raised out in the sticks?
It's a part of culture that obviously a lot of people on here just don't get, but there are a lot of other cultural things that some people just don't get. Look at snake handling for one, but I digress.
Anyways, dog fighting is just stemming from man's need for combat. Instinctively, we're warriors, but we're forcing ourselves to be civilized. That blood lust and desire for combat still is within us.
Look at all the other sports out there, like MMA or boxing. To me, a couple dogs ripping each other apart is a lot less barbaric than watching a couple guys in a ring or cage trying to beat the crap out of one another. Either way, it's all trying to satisfy the same desire. I certainly think it's a lot more civilized than having gladiators in the ring trying to kill each other or feeding criminals to lions.
But now, what do you guys think of other blood sports such as bull fighting? Does the pageantry of that sport make up for the fact that the bull is trying to kill the matador while at the same time, the matador is trying to kill the bull within the time limit?Last edited by Honkey_Kong; 09-23-2013 at 07:26 AM.

I can't imagine. Never seen a fight like that and I hope I never do. People found to be participating in that should definitely be punished severely.

Taking into consideration that everyone has the right to an opinion I disagree with yours and don't hate you for it. I believe the difference is that a fighter decided he wanted to train, enter the ring and decided when he is done fighting. On the other hand, the dogs are abused and made to hate other dogs and become resilient. They are starved and dehydrated and often die because of their mistreatment. They are animals, but they dont enjoy or want us to treat them this way. When they do make it to an age or size where they can fight, they have so much aggression that they fight as expected, but when is the fight over? Who decides that?
Bottom line is that if these dogs were raised without abuse, they wouldn't want to fight and would be just like any other dog and have a nice enjoyable life doing what makes them happy. Maybe playong fetch or tug o war.
We should feed you to a lion lol jkz

This is sick shit in my opinion. You can't compare MMA fighting to illegal dog fighting animals don't have a choice to fight wereas humans choose to be in those situations and don't fight to the death.
A good friend of mine has two rescue dogs thankfully they were saved but it was disgusting to hear the horrible treatment they were put under. Now they are the best most loving animals even after the horrible treatment they have been put under

I give these people no time..... I can't watch the videos or look at pictures. It makes me fvcking sick. I rescued a boxer and a pitbull..... I have a soft spot for animals.
These people don't get punished hard enough IMO.

lol. So that makes it OK? I'm sure folks who have pet snakes feel the same way about this as they do snake handling, whatever that means.
How cold you possibly compare MMA to this? Seriously... you think the dogs signed a contract and entered the dome of death after consulting with their coaches? That is so mind boggling, I can't even begin to explain how lost I am of words...
Bullfighting? Absolute horror, barbaric, unjust and one of the cruelest acts. Again, the bull did not agree to this unjust punishment.
I gotta say, Honkey, I normally agree with most of what you post. Your opinion on this is garbage and nonsensical, but that's just my opinion.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

I don't sanction ANY animal fights. Period.
Animals don't have the option to say no. They don't make anything off a fight except living another day. When they get weak - they're used as bait for stronger dogs. It's fvcked up no matter how you slice it.
I'd rather watch two consenting adults fight then 2 animals who have no option. I'd also rather watch two life sentenced child killers fight to the Death before innocent animals

I am a dog owner and dog lover and i can not even watch those type of videos. All the money wasted and printed up in this country and we can not afford to invest in stopping dog fighting? I know the programs set out to combat it are very understaffed and not funded well. Once again China is sickening on the dog fighting. I saw a video for a few seconds on a dog fight in China and could not watch it, the dog wandered out to an open area with a dog 3 times it's size and strength and was literally put out there to be mauled. Only hope Karma can help serve a tiny bit of justice, but it is an area that definitely needs much attention.

The comparison is it's just to satisfy the same bloodlusting desire for the spectator. They just choose to do it with animals. Plus it something they do for gambling as well. They do cock-fighting in Mexico all the time and nobody is up in arms about that shit. They even attach blades to their claws in that style of animal fighting.
