No worries, I though it might save a bunch of time. You will probably still have your own questions. I know some people dont like to buy used but when you stay at a hotel or resort dont you sleep on a used mattress? They also get used a lot less than a normal one.

Most high end hotels sell their mattress almost yearly. I bought a 18" double pillow top summer/winter mattress that would have cost $1200 for $100

You can also find them on Craiglist or similar that are hardly used due to some poor guy buying a $800+ mattress and his wife decided after a couple of weeks she didnt like it.

In the link that LB shared 405 mentions the temperpedic cloud supreme, and I can vouch for that one. I've had mine for about a year now and it's awesome. I spent the extra money and got the adjustable frame hardly ever use it but it will come in handy for my next knee surgery. I've never had the hot problem with it like so many have mentioned, but I also got a breathable mattress protector so maybe that's it. However, the smell for the first 2 weeks is pretty awful.

You can buy one of those Temper-pedic mattresses---if you don't mind sweating while you sleep.

I bought one...and the Dayum thing made me sweat like i had Malaria. I went back the dealer and got the Pillow Top Cover (about 2 inches thick) and still the same problem.
I sold it after 1 week.

Went with a Motion free Soft Sided Water bed. Now i sleep like a King. Its also got a temperature controller that i adjust for the seasons. In the winter, i turn up the heat...and i don't need a Electric Blanket. IN the Summer, i turn it off and jump into a cool bed. It works for me.

That's what I'm talking about. That's what I said in the last mattress post was I was planning on buying a water bed because from what I remember that's the most comfortable bed I ever slept on many years ago when I had one.

I bought a tempurpedic about 4 years ago. I don't remember which one. It was the most expensive they had then. It sleeps great if you're a back sleeper or stomach sleeper, but when I lay on my side it's no bueno.

I can confirm the heat issue. With the right sheets, you can stay plenty cool, but I can't have a comforter on the bed during the summer months.

    Ewwwwww! But very true.

Best mattress I've ever slept in was at a Hilton. They sold the same mattress' brand new for $2000 or so I think. It was like sleeping on finely crushed up diamonds with pure gold flakes. I got anal from my wife on that trip.

Oh you did set yourself up for that one. LoL

That's one of the mattress I got. Bought it used from a local Hilton. They change the ones out from the executive suites 1x a year so I got it for $100.

Recently I decided I needed a little firmer mattress due to back issues and bought a foam topper. No not memory foam, just high quality 2in foam and it made a big difference all for $60

Good one. Damn it, I tried to make that statement impenetrable, but I miserably failed. I should've said, "I gave my wife an anal pounding on that trip."

I hope you didn't get the one we used buddy. It would've had a big, light brown stain in the middle with the signature "DD" underneath it.

That's why I make sure to get the double pillow to so you can just flip it over to hide the stains. ;-)

Mine is a double pillow top, one side for winter with wool and one for summer with polyester I think so its cooler. I also always buy a water proof breathable dust cover. They are only $20 or less and keeps the mattress like new.

I seriously might have to look into that. It was the best sleep I've ever had.
