So sick that Mongoose sold out to Wal-Mart. I didn't have the spyder mags. I had skyway on my Mongoose. My brother had a Redline.

I think about that sometimes too. I wish I would have had the wherewithal when I was younger to hold on to those kinds of things.

I still have a sh*tload of old baseball cards though. Haven't looked up values in years but I don't think they're as valuable as they used to be.

It's not only the toys and gadgets that have changed from yester-years but lifestyles and recreation in general:

Yea. My mom moved a lot and that stuff was always left behind, given away or something. I went to a lot of SF Giant games. Back then, all players would come out and sign autographs. I had so many...willie mays, for one. Bat Day was always my favorite time. I can't imagine any team giving away bats anymore. Drunkin bastards would riot...lol

'Aint that the truth. We were outside all day on saturday playing baseball. Never wore a helmet, and yes, got bars of soap shoved in my mouth. I lived. No lifelong "mommy" issues

I used to go to Fenway all the time and had autographs from Wade Boggs, Mike Greenwell, Roger Clemens (think I still have this one), Ellis Burks and a few others.

That was Mark "Gator" Rogowski. Not Gonzalez. But yea, he went to prison for rape and murder in the 90s.

I had the huffy version. Big ass sissy bar, fat, slick rear tire. Good for jumping cool ramps.
