We used to fight over who played this game in the ice cream parlor. Everyone wanted to play it, there was lines, line of quarters across they bottom of the screen, special ones so you knew when you were up.
awesome man! forgot all about that game! we had an arcade at the beach and then we also had one at the mall and we used to play super mario brothers at the Revco Pharmacy (now CVS).. after school.

the 80s were the shit man! one of the best times to be a kid IMO! had a blast. no cell phones, computers, just sun, heat and sweat with friends and laughs and adventure.

i wonder if kids even know what its like anymore to wake up and go outside and play with your friends and not come home until dark? i used to have to strip naked on the porch and go straight to the bathroom for a shower! LOL..

Here's the board I had. All my friends had either the Gator, Ken Park or Tony Hawk. Micke Alba was the one I looked upto, even though he wasn't the best of all time...he was a great performer. Crazy graphics on it.

LMFAO!!! this one time i took a mag into the bathroom (uh.... to read the uh articles) and when i was done i took a shower. well when i got thru showering i got out and went into my room. well i forgot about the magazine i left in the bathroom. now this magazine had a pic on the cover of a female with a guys dick in her mouth. on the back it had like a newport cigs advert. well my mom reminded me of the magazine i left in the bathroom when she brought it into my room for me after finding it on the counter!

fortunately for me, the cover was facing down and the cigarette was facing up. to this day i dont know for sure if she turned it over to keep us both from being embarrassed.. i dont plan on asking her either! LOL..

My first tape player. I got one similar to this from a neighbors trash and repaired it.

Damn it had good quality sound (for the time)

Yes sir. Slide the plastic sleeve into the player and the disc is removed and played. When half the movie is watched, remove disc with plastic sleeve, flip over, reinsert, and watch the rest of the movie. Happiest day in the house for my dad when he bought this thing. Didn't last long though. I believe shortly after that, the BETA tape players came out!

As far as the ramp, my friend was rich, he was the smartest in his grade but had dread locks and smoked weed (In the 80's, he was ahead of the times). His parents said if he kept his grades above 95 when they built their new house he would get a ramp. They builders built the house, 2 car garage(with half court basketball), huge pool deck and then the ramp attached to the deck behind the garage. We sat there everyday for a month, they built the half pipe we would skate on that when they left and then they finished the bowl around it with metal coping.....epic days!

Edit: I had the hair too, would go in my mouth lol.
Good stuff guys. We built a bunch of big ramps at the end of our street out of wood from construction sites. Made a box and a few differnt ramps and landings to do gaps. Always wanted a half-pipe but never had the funds or know-how at that age.

We'd also go downtown and "street ride." We'd go in a good size group and do drop-offs, grind, bunny hop any and everything. Also had some sweet dirt trails we spent months making.

Those were the days.. BMX bikes, Heavy metal and Red Dog beer.

Badass 405! Be careful doing stunts though. Rims and forks bend much easier at our weight than they did back when we were kids.

I'm ashamed to admit this but I once owned a leather bomber jacket. The brown faux leather with the fur collar and a couple pilot type patches.

Had a couple jean jackets too.

The 80's were a dark time. Still hate my mom for making me wear that stuff. Lol
