My Rant On Time Warner Cable..Grrrr

Ok guys and gals here's the deal. I have never had Time Warner for my movies, so I decided at the first of this year I would jump on the Bandwagon. Ok what sealed the deal was their advertising that they were broadcasting several adult porn channels, including 4 gay ones. So you would think I'm a happy camper. Yeah I know I can just as easily download it off the net, but I wanted real quality movies to possibly even record. So I got all hooked the other day and just now ordered a couple of pay by the month gay porn channels. Manhandle, Manhandle On Demand, and Gay On Demand. So with names like that I'm thinking wow it's gonna be great. Man how far we've come to offer gay adult channels to the masses. Awesome! You Go Time Warner! Well. Not so fast! So I finally get around to even watching a couple of the movies and both had one thing in common. some thing was suspiciously missing from the scenes! yeah there was a lot of oral going on and then you would see a guy or two put on condom, then boom it switches right on into the climax scene. There is no penetration at all on any of the movies being shown. That's right all their gay movies have been edited to remove any and all anal penetration. And the movies that were normally 1 and half to 2 hours long are now only about 55 minutes to and hour. it's crazy! and now I hear that Time Warner is complaining that they aren't making enough money nor getting enough subscriptions to their porn channels. Hmm I wonder why? I am not subscribed to any of the straight channels and wonder if they too are edited. But man this sucks. Needless to say I won't be renewing. In their ads and commercials for the adult gay channels, they make it loo like nothing is censored. But once you watch the movie in it's entirety you will see it is chopped all over. My question is why do they do this? If they are comfortable enough to even have porn channels available, why not show them with out the editing out of half the scenes.

One word. Monopoly. Time Warner isn't unique in the cable 'market'. It isn't a market at all. In every city I've lived in, and I've lived in 5 states, there is one cable provider for a given area. You have no choice. I use cable for internet and thankfully there are several tv providers who have to compete for public love so I use one of them for tv. No home phone since 98 so no problem there. Bundle that, fbckers!

I think we all are a little as I snickered in advance of posting this rant thread..lol And I snickered when I saw the names that Time Warner was using...Man Handle and Man handle On-Demand. Nothing like getting Man Handled especially On-Demand..lol But yeah could you imagine seeing a Exxtasy or Hustler porn channel listed on your local cable provider, then tune in to it only to see it was all edited out to make it more of a soft porn movie? With names like girls and their toys or Boy with their toys then you see nothing getting used on the girls or boys as they have clipped the close ups? no sign of any toys in the movie at all? Bummer. It don't matter anyhow as I have much better stuff on DVD, from Falcon, Belami, Jocks, Mustang and other Producers of quality filth... Funny I remember guys at work talking about back in the day when everything came on VHS tapes and how they had played back certain scenes on the film so many times that the tracking went berzerk on their movies. Now that's dedication to a movie!

I get my porn from the net and I don't pay for it so I don't know what cable/satellite offers other than what you've said but yeah I would expect no editing if I was paying for it. That would piss me off. It's porn. Lol. Kind of an expectation there of knowing what it is. Why the hell would they edit it? If I'm worried about being offended I just wouldn't order it. Lmao.

Soft core porn - what a waste of time.

If they didn't want to offer it, they shouldn't have. Seems like a bait and switch. I would drop them and I would tell them with details exactly why I did. There is some top quality 1080p porn (gay or straight) if you want to risk illegally downloading it using torrents. Just a thought.

Me2, I have HD 3D blu ray porn on a 83" TV and 101" projection and I guess you can even say most of it is gay porn, as long as you consider girl on girl being gay.

Sometimes just to mix things up a bit I will watch woman on girl and woman on woman...

I dropped cable years ago and switched to cable. Even it's costing more than it should. I'm going to just try Netflix and Amazone prime for a while.

Really?? My Satalite for as long as I can remember has like 15+ hard core porn channels. Each movie is like $6 and for $10 you can choose a bundle.

No thanks, I will stick to free downloads or the couple of dozen DVD I still have along with a few home made CD...

Who really wants to see 1 1/2 of porn when all you need is a few minutes most of the time. We all know as soon as you finish your business there is not more interest in watching anymore. lol

Yep, and the shame of the cleanup. Even if I watch it with my wife there is still that guilt associated with getting "nasty" Seems like sex is always a little dirtier when you are watching a porn.

I often wonder if she finds it offensive after the fact that I said "...take that you dirty whore!!"

Sounds like a great idea. I have been wanting to rent that movie called "Like A Horse" and "Hose EM Down" and an old classic called "These Bases Are Loaded". I'll bet they would look great in 3D as it all jumps right out at you. It's a good thing the don't demo those 3d's at Walmart as I can hear it now...Clean up On Aisle 7
