seriously though... we used a maid service here called Molly Maids and while they did not look anything like these ladies, they were very thorough and it cost us $150.

Good point. And I'm sure there are options for additional cost such as laundry. We have a sh*t ton of laundry. I wouldn't so much mind doing laundry if I didn't have to do everything else too.

I use to pay $60-80 every 2 weeks. It was every week but my house cleaner said Bi weekly would be better since I kept my house so clean there was not need for weekly. She/They have always said they like cleaning my house since they always know what to expect. Most clients seem to trash their house the day before cleaning?

Now that I'm married again, I need to hire a maid since it's always messy. Only if I would listen to my own advice... lol

We're far from dirty, so I think we could get away with every two weeks as well. The dusting, vacuuming, cleaning floors, cleaning bathrooms is what I would need them to do. We can handle dishes, laundry and everything else no problem.

Same here, that's all I had done, waxing, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms and dusting. I did most of the vacuuming though, I'm particular on how it's done. Most people do it to quick and not overlapping.

Wife and I were just talking about this. I was saying that we should provide the cleaning supplies and let them use our vac because it's a good one. I've seen some of the crap equipment they use and dollar store supplies.

I used Molly Maid for the first time this past week. They charged me $165 for 90min. I didn't have them do every last thing. Just gave them 90min worth of stuff to do, main stuff to see how'd they do. They send at least 2 maids at a time, so you can get a lot done in 90min. They have better prices. Not the best prices but decent for weekly or every 2 or 3 weeks. Anyway, they did a good job. I'll probably hire them again. I do have one other lady I'm going to try, very cheap but we'll see.

BTW you can join Angies list to see local ratings. I have been trying not to join but due to all the bad luck with work that was done on my house I finally joined.

A little trick, sign up but dont join/pay. They will immediately give you an discount and within a couple of days email you up to 40% off, then if you use paypal it's another 20% off. I paid $20 for 1yr and now have sent off several emails for some more work I need done to finish up my house I dont have time to really do myself in a short amount of time.
