    Cosmos (TV show)

I caught the first episode last night.

I have to say I was really intrigued by this show and look forward to the upcoming episodes.

Simply amazing just how small we all are in the grand scope of things.
    Anyone else catch the show.

Every thing we have ever known . We could be like bed bugs a pure nuisance to another race.

Or goo in the corner of their eye.

I remember the first Cosmos with Carl Sagan.. This one has amazing visuals... was so easy to understand that my wife understood most of it.

I tend to dislike these type of shows. I mean how in depth can they get on a topic in a 60 minute TV show?

By the way, does anybody know of any scientific breakthrough that Neil Degrasse Tyson discovered? Aside from figuring out that two days of the year, the sun is aligned with the the streets of Manhattan, I can't think of a thing he's done.

He helped kill Pluto, I think.

I respect him as an educator. We need more people excited by science.

Great show. It should be a staple in what people learn to believe in rather then and on this day let there be light

What ever floats your boat but science is held back more then others beliefs. Its about time they dumb it down and people go wait how old is the universe but that means, yes that is what that means

Bill Nye is not a scientist, just a syndical ass hat that gives real scientist a bad wrap. He is an absolutist and believes science has no bounds and if you don't believe like him that you're superstitious. Instead he should be preaching the true nature of science is to always ask the question no matter what the answer might bring.
