You two make me feel a lot better now, my haw only charges about 1300 a month. We also send 400-700 for the kid a month. Soon that will all end, she just received her prc this week. Oh she is 10 years younger, it's all good.

I dont think mine has been that high except for maybe 1 or 2x but I have managed to pay it off each and every month. They hate me because in 3 years I have paid zero interest and it's a cash back awards card. We use it for everything we would use cash for, gas, groceries, several monthly bills and a LOT of the remodel expenses the last years.

Luckily the wife is not really into expensive shoes or purses. She does like her gold but she is more into decorating the new house right now and she keeps buying expensive alcohol for me but wont allow me to drink any of it. lol

Good thing I have some more overtime coming up next week. Id be in trouble without at least a couple days ot every month. It also helps I'm not going to be making 2 house payments anymore. Just got the other house rented out with a 1yr contract signed. It's been tough making 2 house payments for 8 months,.

Hmmm I might have to see how my HAW looks in boots like that. She is pretty conservative for the most part but looks good dressed up. I'm trying to get her to wear some school girl uniforms.

I told her she doesnt need to if her sister comes to stay with us, she is almost 18. I'm not sure why she doesnt think it's as funny as I do

Its were you borrow money from the bank to buy a investment house. But the cost of owning that rental is more than the money you make from rent. So lets just say you make 10 grand a year rent but it costs you 15 grand to own
That house. So that 5 grand difference you claim on your tax. So if you earn 50 grand a year you minus that 5 grand so your taxable income is only 45grand.

Any money spent on a rental is tax deductible from interest paid on the loan to any renovations done to the house. Insurance, new aircon, oven etc etc so Basically the more rentals you have your just offsetting
    Your tax.

Its called negative gearing because your losing money on the investment but when the rent is more than the cost of owning the house its called a positive gearing.

Do you guys have any thing similar like this?

Yes it's just a tax write off or a loss. I personally prefer to always show profit but have charitable contributions or other tax write offs.

Right? Those shoes and boots make me horny. I told HAW I'm gonna fvck the shit out of her when she gets those.

Go check out inkedshopdotcom. Show your girl the styles under "shoes". They aren't cheap though. Shoes are all over $100 and some boots are more than $300. Not as bad as the $18,000 blue snake skin boots my HAW wanted in South Beach Miami this year. No. I did NOT buy those.

Don't get me started on the designer purses!!!!!

Interesting concept. First I've heard of it. Not sure it would be too successful in California though.

Anyone else familiar with negative gearing?

Maybe TR knows his a accountant Its a good concept. It encourages people to invest in there future so the government does not have to give them a pension.

I'm sure I could make some of you grateful for your wives by telling you how much money I have "invested" in handbags, but instead I'll comment on the age in relationship stuff.

This is probably not the wishy washy answer you want, but I think it depends on the age spread and the person. I've dated men 25 years older than me, and up to 10 years younger, and it varied a lot in each case. My husband is 7 years older than me, but he's healthy and super fit, and young in spirit (but not at all childish, happily) and I don't at all have the sense that somehow he's getting old-seeming in comparison to me.

If I imagine myself now with the guy I dated who was approx 25 years older, and he'd be in his seventies now, and even though he was a pretty vibrant guy (we used to race his ferraris together!), I can't really imagine being with someone in their 70s now. I think I would feel like we were in different life stages and a bit like I was looking after my father. I think it is worth considering frankly if there is a really large age spread, and your partner is someone you have no intention of ever leaving. I'm sure it's great to be a middle aged guy with a much younger wife, but I suspect the shine wears off if you get to a place where you're in your 70s, and her interest starts to wane. There can be exceptions to this, I am sure, but I suspect it becomes an eventual problem for couples with really large age discrepancies. Of course you can do things to keep as young and healthy as possible, but it's always better to think ahead and have your eyes open.

My Thai g/f thinks she may be getting too old for me now .....She turned 30 last month so she is 29 1/2 years younger! My other African g/f has just turned 24 so she is 35 years younger. She will be with me tonight. My previous African g/f (of 18 months) was close to the same age but we went our separate ways.

Prior to my wife I, which I met at 30, I always dated 21 and under. It was all about the sex. Pre-21, they went to house parties, etc, and I was over that for years, and at 21 they want to hit bars every night, and I was over that as well. So, fun for casual dating but never got to serious...I only fell for one, met her at 19 when I was 25, broke up not long after she turned 21. Looking back it was hell, as she was living in college dorm, and all the shinanigans made me jealous even if she was loyal(who knows).. It was unhealthy because I cared about her, all the others I could have gave a shit about them, so it was fun for what it was.

Not the blue snake skin ones????

You need to get her a new hobby such as a JOB... mine is actually working now. Low level job but hopefully something soon that is more a match for her degree in accounting.

Oh hell no.....although the blue snake skin boots looked sexy on her....but $18,000 for boots is a little too crazy.

She's retired at 31. She wants me to open a restaurant for her. Eventually, hopefully. Have my hands full with other projects right now.

typically, men like to date younger women and women like to date older men. (not in all cases, i know. my brother is a counter-example.)

here is the general "rule of thumb" so the older man doesn't "rob the cradle":

    (man's age / 2) + 7 = youngest appropriate age of female "companion"

for example, man is 40. 1/2 his age is 20. plus 7 = 27. a 40 year old can "date" a woman as young as 27, and still be ok.

man is 30. half his age is 15. plus 7 = 22. the 30 year old man can date a female as young as 22.

man is 50. half his age is 25. plus 7 = 32. the 50 year old man can date a female as young as 32.

apparently, there are no rules if you are tom cruise or mick jagger or someone like that.

Depends on objective. For sex I prefer under 19 to 25 (hummmmm.....yummmy), for everything else 30-40.

    Formula says 21. Close enough!
