that's such a silly question! when was the last time a Mexican or any none Muslim person strapped a bomb around his waist and blew up innocent people? I am guessing the reason OO noted the Muslim prayer rug is because that's what most Americans and politicians fear, is a terrorist sneaking in.

Yeah considering they referred to a specific terrorist cell that was plotting confrontations on American soil and it is believed they will be entering through the Tx/Mexico border I dont think it is so out of line either. Id rather be safe and concerned about it than disregard it and have something happen.
Profiling? Damn straight Tough shit..

The only huge supporters left for him are the ones benefitting from obamacare. So many supporters I knew in the hospitals (not docs - the doctors hated him) are now saying he's nuts. I also know a chiropractor who is reaping huge benefits. He's found a way to fvck the insurance company and get more money. Ill have my gf explain it to me again because she works for him. It has something to do with their co-pays and max out of pocket I believe.

one of the games being played in construction, is what my father in law was telling me happens all the time.
One illegal bloke will get hired, and then next thing you know, some other illegal bloke will be helping him out, side by side. It's a two-fer. And they wage share.

Let's not forget the architects of suicide attacks were the Japanese Kamikazes. Or what about Nazi 'selbstopfer attacks', Liberation Tigers Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka, the Kurdistan Worker's Party in Turkey, etc. Suicide bombings are a political agenda and not necessarily a religious one.....

I had a manufacturing plant in Baja California (Mexico). We subcontracted out work through a vendor. I found out that the worker was only getting 200 pesos a week. A little mental arithmetic tells me that is about $20 USD per week.
So if two of these illegal blokes share a $15/hour job, that comes out to something like $300/week each, or 15x more than the Mexican inspectors would expect to make.
What would you do if you could increase your salary 15x and not watch your family go hungry?

most of these "suicide bombers" have issues.
they are either very slow and don't understand what they are doing, or under duress (Taliban threatens to kill their family if they do not comply), or they are claiming the $10,000 reward for martyrdom and the money goes to the family.
Then there are the tactical ones that took out the restaurant where my friends worked.

I saw one go off before my very eyes years ago when I was young. You're right there's something wrong with them either mentally or physically or even under duress. My mother remembers seeing one that was missing an arm for example. They go after the vulnerable people.

Seriously? How many suicide bombers have we had detonate explosives in this country? I'll wait while you tally up the figures.
Now on the other hand how many white Americans have committed atrocities in the same time frame? OK City, Sandy Hook (which I drive through to work), VA Tech, Colorodo theater, .... Should I go on???

Oh you mean the news that's so accurately portrayed right? So you're worried about something that's never happened versus something that's happened MANY MANY times? Remind me again which planet you're living on? Remind me which is the bigger threat? Let's be real here, you're more likely to die from an American 'terrorist' than a Muslim one....

I don't blame those workers one bit for coming to America for whatever chump change we'll offer them. What bothers me is that we have that NAFTA going on or we'll do business with China and other countries that exploit labour like that or worse.
America is consuming the products these people produce, therefore we have a moral obligation to not contribute to the unfair treatment of these people. It's that treatment that contributes to these people's willingness to risk life and limb to come to America illegally and take these jobs for less than minimum wage. I'm sure it'll fall on deaf ears because people are just concerned with getting the new TV and not where it comes from.

The latest reports put it somewhere near 30 trillion. And they keep saying that our social security will end around 2030 and medicare 10 years prior to that. But Mr. Barack Hussein Obama wants 300 billion to help assimilate the tens of thousands of children walking across our southern borders. You know as I see it America should be ashamed of itself to take on these children. And here is why. They are destroying South and Central America by robbing it of it's future citizens who could make a huge difference in those countries. this is the truly sick part of it all that we don't even have the foresight to realize that point. Those countries futures are tied directly to the children that we are in effect stealing from them. I am surprised that the surrounding countries and those overseas, aren't raising hell about us stealing all their children. but the idiots running our country cannot see that point. but then these same morons are the one who were at wood stock popping acid for days on end and having free sex with their peyote mushooms. No wonder their brains are fried and they can't do anything right. And don't get me started on dumbass Hillary..... All she wants to do is promote her book that was written by a phantom writer.
And to think i was a democrat for all my short life. But I don't like neither party now and am changing to independent because I think it's stupid to vote on for your party instead of who is the best person for the job at hand.
I think ole TR would be proud of me about now. I have seen the light but of course it was just one of those energy efficient led ones. lol

Of course I'm proud of you Shol'va! Not too often someone has a mind open enough to listen to information conflicting with their original position and then changing position. I was the other way. Republican. I love the fiscal prudence exhibited by the party. HOwer, I really dislike the puritanical bullshit espoused by the evangelicals that run the party. They have no business judging what goes on inside my home, and especially inside my bedroom. They are the morality police, but I don't remember saying I thought their morality was any better than mine. So I switched to Libertarian, one of the guiding principles of our fore fathers.
So, let me ask you, were you considering the Libertarian party, and if so, how did the Independent party appeal more to you than the Libertarian party?

The democrats are any better anymore they just do it in a different way. They tell you that you are not allowed to NOT dislike or not agree with anything that goes on in the bedroom or many other things.
I am not sure what I am considered on voters registration, I think I have mine marked independent also. I have never voted for one party or the other based on R or D. I 1st got more involved in politics when our state tried and successfully passed for a short time that you have to vote R or D, no mix & match.
Either way it's a mess and most all are corrupt. Not all but mostly.

TR I disagree with your notion that evangelicals or republicans dictate what you do in your privacy or in your bedroom. there is no prove that this is the core believe of any Christians or republican, they simply believe what the bible say, its their faith, they are free to believe it, just like others who are free to believe they are wrong. if any of discrimination exists (and it does) its because of some individuals who completely misunderstand their faith, unless of course you are Muslim, your head will come off! LOL.
if anything the democrats seem to be more controlling of what you eat, drink, smoke, forcing Christians to go against their believe like they did with Hobby Lobby and now they are going after EWTN and all churches. also how to raise your kids, what they are taught, and the list goes on. I am a republican but I don't like most of them, I think they lost their backbone.

look at the gay community fight going on. The evangelicals/republicans do NOT want same gender marriages. who gives a fvck besides the evangelicals/republicans?
The republican party is driving the anti abortion crusaide. I too believe abortions should be avoided except in the most extreme cases. But Why would a political party think they know better than the woman? And why would they be against federally funding contraception?
Why are some in the republican party pushing so hard to reintegrate the separation of church and state?
Why is the republican party so anti-drug? It's a federal offense to possess marijuana? really? where's the evil in smoking in your own home?
This is an abbreviated version of a long list.
This is why I got out of the republican party. Because they seem to think they are smarter than the rest of us, that their morals and values are superior to the rest of ours, and to be real frank, they are not to pleased with a multicultural society, although they have learned to cover up that ugly truth pretty well this last couple of decades.

TR, what you listed is not something can be discussed in few hours, days, or even weeks. however I understand your thinking and reasoning, no government should dictate what you believe, some things should be left to the communities to handle, but there is a fine line there too as some individuals can take the law into their hands like the KKK and other militia group and yes some Christians who claim they are doing God's work.
think about it TR, who is forcing who on the marriage issue? its the government who is redefining the meaning of marriage and forcing churches to marry gays even if it goes against their belief. gays can have any kind of union and can have any kind of benefits, but the issue here is the word marriage, and what constitutes marriage in the eyes of God are three things,
- The couple is married in the eyes of God when the physical union is consummated through sexual intercourse.
- The couple is married in the eyes of God when the couple is legally married.
- The couple is married in the eyes of God after they have participated in a formal religious wedding ceremony.
So there, it is biblical and that's why the fight to keep it that way. it was never established so gays cannot use it, its was there long before this new movement trying to redefine it's meaning. do you know there are many gays who are against it also? in fast there are movements of gays who are fighting to leave the word marriage alone, they don't want it.Last edited by bass; 07-14-2014 at 10:03 AM.

my point TR, its not about giving Gays the right to Marry, but rather its a movement to attach the church and the faithful. if there was discrimination as you have defined it then why do we have so many openly gays in our country? discrimination is on both sides, gays are fighting to force churches to go against their belief and the churches are fighting to preserve their faith based on biblical teachings.
