I wouldn't say I am racist per say, but I harbor certain prejudices against certain groups of people. But when you think of it, I have those thoughts because of their culture and social status. Take African-Americans for example; I have a black family down the street, the father is successful works at a bank, drives a nice car, etc. Now if you drove to NE Portland totally different scene. I don't consider the African-Americans under the umbrella of "black people" I considered them in my mind a different word when I see them (don't think too hard here) but it is because of how they talk, interact with one another, and just plain disrespectful to others not in their group (especially women). Not all of those people in the less educated and less income areas but that described 9/10 of them. I also don't feel very kindly of Jews, I don't know if it is because of my ancestry (German) if I am programmed to dislike them, but all of interactions with them up to this point in my life has met all the criteria of the stereotypes of Jewish people (being cheap, big noses, rude). I hope I do meet a Jewish person so they can prove me wrong but it hasn't happened yet.
That's my 2 cents.

I hate tough guys in their cars, I have tried numerous times to get people to get out and talk about the problems they have with me, but when they look inside my window while beside them, they seem to change their mind and not look back over again.

Most likely I would be considered racist as I have great pride for the white race. What I feel is a huge double standard though, is if a black person feels/proclaims the same thing, society would not consider them racist.

Nothing wrong with being proud. The european whites are the ones who built society up to what is considered civilized standards. Africa is a prime example of euorpean whites coming in trying to bring the standard of living up for the local tribal people and as soon as they leave the african just resorts back to primitive tribal ways like they always have lived. Just look at what happend in rhodesia. The blacks there had the highest standard of living
In africa and as soon as mugabe took over it has just plumited into a failed state.
Thats why i don't understand why i see on the usa news channel fox the blacks are saying how the country is racist to them. But they forget it was the white man who took them out of the struggle in africa and let them live in a first world country. When the whites decided slavery was wrong they let them stay and gave them the chance to integrate into a first world country and chance of a better life. If all the blacks left the usa after slavery the life they would be living now in africa would be just be terrible.
In south africa even blacks are saying life was better under apartheid. Of course this is generalizing but it states the truth.

And was subsequently sold to another owner. Anthony Johnson took the other land owner to court claiming that his servant was to be HIS servant for life. The court sided with Anthony Johnson and that's when he became the first "legal" slave owner. A few years after that is when Virginia made it legal to permanently own slaves.

Also.... You gotta be careful how u word things lol. Slavery Wasnt a good thing..... You can dispute that it shaped the country but it was a horrible tragedy for sure.

It's also not popular to bring up facts such as the 1st slave owner was another African American and there were more African American plantation owners who had slaves that Caucasians. Damn just saw your post above your other one. lol
Can you name any race who has not been forced into slavery at one point or another in history? At some point you need to just get over it and decide to stop blaming someone else for your problems and change your life.
How often do you hear the Japanese complain about how they were all round up and put in concentration camps during WW11? That was a hell of a lot more recent and pretty bad of us to do IMO

To be honest. Wouldn't the African American race be non existent without slavery? Wouldn't they be living in Africa right now in severe poverty and disease?

I wouldn't say I'm racist but I'm definitely not a fan of the negative stereotypes of any race. What seems odd to me is the more you put me around large groups of people the more I hate everyone. I grew up in a pretty small area and my stress levels skyrocketed exponentially as I upgraded to living in bigger and bigger cities.

there is a HUGE difference between racist and preference, and most of the people don't understand it. Someone can prefer to date only their same race, that is not racist at all, just preference.

No, but it a distasteful joke now days or inappropriate but it still maybe even now gets the reaction the person is looking for.
A few years ago most people would have just sort of lol a little uncomfortably but now you probably jaw dropped to the floor.
Why? Do you think everyone who is on trt or cycles is dead or no longer cycles? That's only 14 years ago. If someone started in their mid 20s they would only be 35 now.Last edited by lovbyts; 09-18-2014 at 12:56 AM.
