Feelings for my best friend's sister?
My friend and I have known each other since 2 years old, so I grew up with her in a way. We have never been more than friends, and even closer to family, but I think I really do want to date her after all these years. She's a year younger and is a senior in high school, so if/when I do ask her out I will wait till she's in college. I really don't want to ruin my friendship with my friend by doing so, but of course there is no guarantee she will want to date. Opinions? Is it just not meant to be? Am I just not a good friend to want to date his sister?

If he's your friend, dating his sister shouldn't really have any effect on the friendship. It might make you guys closer too since you'll be better linked to his family.
But what makes you think SHE wants to date you?

She's a girl you're a guy. As long as you're respectful about it, don't stress. I've hooked up with my best friends sister and friends have tried to hook up with mine.. As long as there is respect there then have fun man. Don't sweat it, were only human.

I have a little sister and I have somd friends that Id be fine with it and some I wouldn't. So if your bf knows your a POS, then its a bad idea. At your age pos= jealous, controling, psyco.
if you were older pos= jobless, lazy, drugeeLast edited by 2iron; 11-19-2014 at 05:28 PM.

Sounds like this is one-sided and she thinks of you as a brother...
(in which case asking her out would only make things weird)

if you are really worried about it, just mention to your friend ahead of time you're going to ask his sister out. It's a sign of respect, and even though you don't need his approval, he will remember this gesture down the road and think the more highly of you. And it's another way of saying to your friend that you value his respect.
