Anyone watch that show generation kill? This reminds me of that one scene.

my point is I listened to Chris Kyle and Jesse Ventura talk, and listened to those who know them, Jesse is a politician, and I don't trust politicians as far as I can throw them. everyone who knew Chris said nothing but good things about him. just the fact he wrote his book and gave all the money to others speaks volumes about a person, while Jesse continued the lawsuit and went after Chris's widow, that's very slimy IMO, and it tells me what kind of person Ventura is. and yes fvck courts, they don't mean anything. OJ Simpson!

BTW just bought three Chris Kyle T-Shirts

Like i said, you're suffering from the "Halo Effect Delusion."

"...Legal experts said Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, had to clear a high legal bar to win, since as a public figure he had to prove actual malice. According to the jury instructions, Ventura had to prove with "clear and convincing evidence" that Kyle either knew or believed what he wrote was untrue, or that he harbored serious doubts about its truth."

PS. Based on Media Reports, (*whatever that's worth"), Ventura never pursued the Widow for $, he is however going after the publisher for Slander.

Funny----I didn't hear anything inaccurate (but then again, I was Lucky,...i graduated from College).
What's next----"The FDA and the AMA are looking out for the well-fare of Americans?"

Bro, try reading something other than Steroid Books. Pick up some "History of War" Books and get back to us.

Well so i was bored again so i watched the movie again and this time i noticed in the scene where kyle meets his woman for the first time in that pub he says he just finished buds selection and is going off to sniper training and is a seal. But it was my understanding that you have to do a advanced qualifying test after buds to become a seal? Buds just allows you to keep training. Can someone who knows usa navy confirm this?

Want to talk about real courage and real sniper skills? Try this Russian female sniper, who joined the military when women weren't allowed to join in order to protect her country from Nazis. She racked up many more confirmed kills than Kyle, was a college graduate student instead of special forces trained, and killed 36 enemy snipers instead of one fictitious sniper that was created to make a movie more exciting.

Her total of confirmed kills during World War II was 309, including 36 enemy snipers.

Now that's a movie that I'd pay to see.

There was a bloke from finland who killed over 500 russians. Years later when he was asked why he was so good at killing he responded with "my commanding officer told me to kill russians so thats what i did"

No Chit...Jane Fonda is American as Apple Pie ?

    LOL...

eeeh...that's not the way the Vets see her. She f##kn up Big Time. I don't think she ever recovered from her "Hanoi Jane" image (with Most Americans and Certainly not with my Group either (and we served way after Nam).

I personally, think she was experimenting with Heavy Acids and hallucinogenics. No one in their right mind would pull what she did.

Ok so this is the 3rd time I have attempted to make a post in this thread.

Bottom Line: There is no honor in writing a book or making a movie about your combat experiences. Throughout the ranks of professional soldiers Chris Kyle and all those like him who capitalize on their combat experiences are not honorable and have shown great disrespect to the Armed Forces and what we as soldiers stand

They are looking into a bunch of other stuff he said also now such as when he reported he saw bodies floating past his hotel from his room in Katrina when it's been found out his hotel was never in a flooded area.

Explain how it disrespects us? I'm 22 year vet and have no problems with guys or gals writing books, as long as they don't reveal opsec. I have a friend who has wrote two books and it has done wonders for his PSTD. The public wants these books, and it gives them an income. I see no dishonor in it. Plus some of these guys are very patriotic and that's why they chose to serve.

Maybe you big army guys like this Rambo/Hero BS that is pumped out. Maybe this motivates you, I don't know. You may not see dishonor in it, but we do. Where is the respect for those he eliminated? Where is the respect for those he served with? Maybe none of them wanted to relive those stories. There is no such thing as a lone soldier. Combat ethics 101- do not go home and glorify combat stories. This act may cause the enemy to harm Americans abroad.

No one gives a fvck about what Chris Kyle did or didn't do while deployed except for those who have no clue what combat is like. I could care less how patriotic you assume he was or why he chose to serve. I never seen him wear the American flag. I always seen him sporting that "Punisher" logo he hijacked.

Bottom line: There are far to many Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airman who have better stories than this guy who will remain silent because they have respect. The respect themselves, the lives lost, there peers, and most importantly the military Code of Honor.

Read the MOH Citations or any of the Silver Star Citations that have been awarded over the last 10 years. They are far more impressive than anything Chris Kyle did.

I wasn't specifically talking about Chris, in general. And who is we because there are a lot books out there from Navy to marines telling of their combat experiences. Idk why Chris wrote his book, but there a lot books that ain't about showboating. Fact is our own government have thrown the Seals into the limelight. Not something I agree with. None of the guys I served with or trained have or would write books for the same reasons you mention. We are, we're professionals. But to say they are all disrespecting us all just isn't fair in my thoughts.

Thanks for your service. You sound like a jealous man! I see nothing dishonorable about what Chris did, in fact I have more respect for military knowing Chris, his wife and many of his friends back his story, i haven't seen one military personnel bash him on TV, only guys like you claiming you're military guys, maybe you are, maybe you aren't! I don't know, but unlike you Chris didn't hide his identity, he is real, his wife is real, his friends and those who served with him are real, and they all back his story.

I am not jealous of any fvcking person on this planet so go stand infront of a mirror and say "your a fvcking cvnt and have no respect fort anyone because you make assumptions that are disrespectful".

I don't hide my identity prick. I am an open book. SO stop trying to antagonize people here with your baseless assertions.

Chris Kyle is a dishonorable prick, and his wife is a money hungry cvnt and neither had/has ZERO respect for what the Military stands for.

I couldn't agree more. Some on this forum are so damn conservative and have no idea what reality looks like. I want to personally thank those people who do nothing for our great country and bash those who do. This forum is full of uneducated people.

Yes but it's discussions such as this that does help educate or at least open the eyes of some who may have no idea so the debates are not always a total loss.

Early for me since I work nights so I'm up with the rest of my compadres on the dark side of the moon. I'm still jonesing to get back to Thailand or Philippines like always. How about you, staying safe? I would ask if you are staying out of trouble but I know better. Obviously you haven't been caught yet.
