"Stand your ground" laws do not vary by state. A state either has it, or doesn't.

That's messed up, if someone pulled a gun on me here I could put a bullet in there head and I'd be back home in a couple hours.

    That was a good read.
No one should ever have to flee their home. If you can't defend yourself there all hope is lost. Any criminal could just walk in and do what they like. And if you hurt them you could lose every thing.
I believe that NY is similar.

Are you talking about stand your ground laws or castle doctrine? In CT we have Castle Doctrine laws on the books but no stand your ground laws. I believe 46 states have Castle Doctrine laws but only 20 states have Stand your ground laws.

George Zimmerman could give a good answer.
He is in my state, and I love the law.

SC is a "stand your ground" state and also has a decent explanation of "castle doctrine" on the state le website. I know the 2 are different, but thought I would provide a link.

SC subscribes to both castle doctrine and stand your ground.

    (haahaa....Love that Avatar BTW)

Yeah...i was in Sweden (Stockholm, long time ago). Same thing with Norway and Holland. The gov's are are very anti-violence- no tolerance for BS. Most of the citizens are very subdued. (although when some of them get a few in them, there can be some trouble---like some of the Mutts i was hanging with).

Of course, its so F##kn Cold, who the hell wants to fight?
