His point was that a line in the sand must be drawn on how we as a society want to live. if you have a look what is commonplace now to what was commonplace 50 years ago there is a big difference. If we keep going who knows where we as a society will end up. I do not want to live in a country where marrying a 11 year old boy is legal but I'm sure there are some creeps who would like it. what end do we keep changing our society? Not everyone can be pleased. Its for the betterment of society that we apply the tough love approach. You know just 40 years ago blacks where classed as fauna. They were not even classed as people. Seems crazy these days but back then it was considered normal. So who knows what will be normal in 40 years. You see my point? There needs to be a end to what the people accept.

Come on Bonaparte, it's more than a little overboard. pedophilia is sex acts with children who are under pre teens age 11 or younger. 16 or 17 is not even close. It was not that long ago girls were getting married and starting families at 13 and 14 was the norm. I dont think biologically much has changed in the last 100 years. Most of the US legal consent is still 16 but it has to be within 2 years. Hawaii was 14 up to not long ago and Mexico is still 12.

Did you know legally girls can get contraceptives from school who are 11 and older without the parents knowing? I think our government is a little hypocritical there dont you? Leaving the parents out of the loop once again.

Again respectfully i think you need to realize that not every society is the same as yours and if you picked up a book you would realize that most of the civilized world has 16-17 as there sex law. I grew up with 16 as the benchmark you grew up with 18. Your being a bit aggressive and arrogant mate. Please dont try to force your society onto others.
