Roman checking in......
Just thought I'd drop by for a moment and check in with you all. Much has been going on my end here......
.......still 5x / week at the gym for the most part. Intensity has dropped due to multiple back surgeries and all the related pain. I am making some progress on all this pain, and always trying new things. But, I have gotten off all pain meds for the most part (mostly alleve in the past, with some stronger stuff here and there).
.......some of my old group is now in Ethopia and trying to lure me over there. But I won't be going. I think I may be done with all the overseas projects.
......in the middle of a TB cycle, since my tendonitis is flaring up again. But it's the first time in what? three or four years?
Any of you blokes or lasses that remember me, stop by and say hello! I'm also monitoring PM's which I still receive from time to time.
Cheers!
---Roman

Yep. Knew that one was coming!
Thanks mate
backatchya sister!
they were minor, I must admit. I believe the procedure is an RF injection where they go in with a probe, between the vertebrae, and fry the nerves in there. Theory is if no nerves, then no pain. But the nerves do grow back, and the theory doesn't always pan out. Now were looking at chiro, and in a few months, if no relief, then probably fuse some of the vertebrae together.
Waiting for me?
.....................................or my wallet?
working on it mate, working on it. But thanks!
Thanks Iggy. I'm not really back. Just stopping by to say hello and see who's still around.
Thanks RP. Just checking in is all.....
.........good to see some still remember me!
Thanks Nach. You know what? I've found more relief from a silly ol' lumbar support pillow than anything else so far. One for the office, one for the car, and one for my recliner. Now I'm working on getting an adjustable bed. Went to the "Sleep Train" and I'll be damned if the one I liked wasn't $10k. Trying to talk my doc into writing an Rx for one, but no luck so far....
Hawkster, thanks mate!
"here"? I hope that doesn't mean Trashghanistan where you are at? =)
.............still taken care of that little woman of yours?
..........and Slimmer checking in too! I'm honored luv. Whatchya been up to?

Hey TR great to see you checking in again. And still training despite the pain etc.
-
It really is something that a lumbar support pillow gives you some relief(at this point I'm sure anything is better than nothing...
My Father has had 6 back surgeries, 2neck(& broke his neck last yr) - his doc was wrote him a script prior to breaking his neck and, damn it... Wouldn't you know he got his bed!
Best of luck with everything, TR... Things will fall into place!

It's funny. Each time, after the minor back surgery, I was back in the gym within 24 to 48 hours....
Yep. Lumbar support pillows provide (for me) better pain relief than pain meds. weird, huh?
Oh, for a gift like that, I can handle a wee bit of pain. But I'm not "back" mate, just checking in and saying hello! =)
thanks mate
..........and Euroholic. How you doing?

Hey buddy. I'm just getting back myself. And I definetly know what it's like with back issues. I fell 24ft out of a tree last summer and crushed....well, just read about it here. http://forums.steroid.com/diet-nutri...ed-advice.html

it was a minor procedure. Look it up if you like. I think it Called an RF injection. RF= Radio Frequency
Undeniably alive. Glad it makes a difference. So I hear you're going back to school? You already have an MBA, don'tchya?
And Angel too. The cerebral matriarch of the board. All Hail! =)
And yer a Poppa twice over now too, if memory serves? BrownGirl getting any quiet time with all them kids keeping her busy?

check here:
Radiofrequency Neurotomy for Facet and Sacroiliac Joint Pain
as you can see, a relatively "minor" procedure.
I'm not planning on going over again either. But my mates in Ethopia have been bugging me to "come over", but nah... I don't think so. I think I'll just work locally for awhile.....
"years"? It doesn't seem that long.........?

Went and saw Terri Clark Wednesday night, her and Cottonwood Creek. Nice show.
I think I like Terri. Great pipes, and a down to earth country gal. Doesn't take herself too seriously, nice sense of humor, and I think she genuinely likes the people around her. All in, I would describe her as "Wholesome". I think that's the right word? not sure.
Hey Girlie, I would bet $1 you listen to Terri Clark from time to time. Am I right?
