How do you plant them upside down? Sounds very interesting[/QUOTEcut hole in bottom of bucket about 3" round

Fill with soil, place starter plant in home in bottom, hang by handle

    Water from top

It looks cool, but is slightly hinder growth, because roots grow down based on gravity, so the will not readily use the entire medium, instead the will go and stay around base of upside down plant

I like to take 5 gal bucket, cut bottom completely off, dig hole in ground about 3/4 the height of bucket, fill hole halfway with very very rich soil, amended with organic nutes. Now fill bucket with lighter airy potting mix aeration formula (cut with 33% perlite if you can't find a aeration mix) this lets the plant over come transplant shock and grow massive root system quickly, which it usually won't with heavy wet rich soil. So by the time they hit that bottom hole, they are well established and take off like rockets

Radishes and lettuce are coming along good. Green beans just broke the soil and look healthy. I planted cucumber plants last weekend and will be planting all my tomatoes next weekend! Can't wait to eat my veggies!

Hell yes, nothing better. wish I had more time and ground to devote this year. Had to have my tomatoes but I was just bitching about having to carry everything out of the rain because I just watered it after transplanting.
Maybe next year I can do better. Green beans are another staple that is nothing like store bought.

Mothers day present for my lady. It was bare dirt before and looked like shit. Now you could stand there 30 minutes and still not see everything.
She was thrilled and that made my day.

Over fertilized my freaking tomatoes! Edges of leaves are burnt. Hoping all this rain washes the freaking salt from the soil and cures it before they die.

Nope nutrient burn is only the tip of iceberg.

If you see symptoms, the condition has been present for at least 12-14 days.

Go organic, never a chance of burn.

    Now lets dive into this.

Over fert. Is going to cause a chain reaction of PH SWING/LOCKOUT nutrient deficiencies and toxicities all at the same time.

Flush those with plain water,a good healthy 10 gall ins or so

1.5 cuft bag of good organic soil
(Fox farm ocean Forrest, Kellogg, fafard, vermifire, etc)
    Add to each 1.5 cu ft the following:;
4.5 to 6lb earth worm casting
    10 oz blood meal
10 oz bone meal (fish bone meal works)
10 oz of high P guano
    6 oz rock phosphate
    1.5 tablespoon Dolomite lime
1 tablespoon green sand, azomite, or glacial rock dust
    1/2 tablespoon of humic ore.

Get this wet with about a quart or 2 of water, let sit for 3 weeks

    This mix rocks hard core.

    Can literally watch them grow

What strains are you runnin? LOL! I know we can't talk about that here!!!!

My beefsteaks are throwing out the numbers like a roma! I have twenty starting on two plants. These budded out like they are on roids! Soon, I will be buried in tomatoes. This crop is kicking serious ass.

Anyone into vertical gardening? I've been looking into this setup for some time since I grew up this way. I stopped gardening a few months ago since I got too busy with other things and couldn't take care of the plants They died...

Looking at a new setup, hopefully something I can use long term this time

These are just regular pallets, they have a few different types and you have to use a specific pallet for gardening.. Looks like a sweat setup though
