It's 0723 and I'm still awake.
It was a wonderful time in the city with my GF and friends,
first listening to "The Suicide Bombers", a punk/rock band,
and I was pleasantly surprised about the music.
At least listening to it live with the people and atmosphere made it cool.
When the band was over some old hits were played and people had a good time.
But in my stupidity... managed to piss of my GF when heading home,
(I was in the wrong, but quickly realized it and tried to apologize.)
But things went sour.
I was then on the brink of leaving, and leaving for good perhaps, but we managed to avoid that.
(How can I be so stupid?! I do some wrong and since the excuse isn't immediately accepted, but she tells me she will feel exactly the same tomorrow,
in other words she still loves me.
But me the idiot reasons that if she's mad at me know, and wants me to leave, which she didn't but that wasn't clear to me,
then if I leave I might as well leave for good, which I don't want)
Thank god she's that good to me even with quite a temper.
Now I'm eating some more food while downing another 3 sleeping pills,
and hope I can sleep, at least just a little, beside my GF.
It's 0740 now. Shit.
So this is my first start on Saturday, will start again later.
Have a nice weekend still people!

Hey Doc,
I have this problem too. Often when things go sour, my inability to persevere with sub-optimal sacrifices future happiness to avoid current frustration.
I am kind of a perfectionist so, I decide that if its not working, I should leave.
This is not only wrong-if it were a leaky faucet I wouldn't stop drinking and wait for death, but it also causes a self-reinforcing loop. "I'm stepping out to get away from the frustration. Well, if I can't deal with it now...I should just pack my bags."
The root of the problem might be perfectionism but it might be (at least with me) a lack self-restraint.
When I'm in a difficult situation, I fix it. If I can't fix it, I get rid of it. Either way problem solved?
Perhaps the problem is that I can't practice the self-restraint necessary to endure without responding?
It sounds like you made the right decision.
I hope that I will be able too as well.

Wow, thanks man!
These explanations actually make a lot of sense and seems to be part of the problem for me too;
I can't handle the frustration, and when I don't know how to fix it,
(or can't see it, as just talking and time and reassuring that the love is still there should be enough),
but instead I quickly jump to; leave now! I can't stand arguing in such cases where it might just be a stupid remark that started it and saying "sorry, I didn't mean that" doesn't instantly fix everything.
I slept some hours and trained legs for 20min.
Didn't take breaks and was afraid of overloading an allready battered body from Friday's abuse and the night following.
It felt good though. Got a pump and just trained enough to stimulate them a little, won't get sore.
So at least I've done some training today.
Now I'm gonna finish the night by meeting and old good friend that always make me smile. Really lucky he was able today.
So we're gonna talk some shit, and just relax and maybe party just a little.

So after a rather tiresome weekend,
Monday's training consisted of 1h45min of rapier fencing.
Basically just some cardio and fun, though you do get tired in some muscles as well.
Then today I've so far just done a chest HIIT routine;
Flyes
Flat bench
Chest press
Flyes mach
Cross over
Dips
30min
It seems so little yet I really feel it in my pecs.
However, if I do have the time I'll perhaps to a second workout later today with another muscle group (legs maybe), in the same fashion.
Will update more later.
Happy week so far to all of you!

For some odd reason, I figured you would be more at home with a nicely worked Ulfberht type sword. You must have dang good endurance and conditioning to fence for that length of time.
My only hope would have been that my opponent slipped on a puddle of my sweat or tripped over my exhausted @ss as I lay on the floor gasping for air. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

The kids gaining on you Doc. No time to take a break. Get it done.

04-27-2017, 08:02 AM #53
Hehe, I didn't say I was any good at it.
And yes, i like the cut more than the trust.
But it wasn't high tempo the entire time, and some breaks. Still noticed both my fingers/grasp and stamina to take some toll yes.
Yesterday:
Leg program
{squats
{walking hiv abduction w cable
Seated leg curl
Leg.ext
Calf raise
27min
Short and sweet.
I've been trying real short workouts this week, (HIIT style), and it's amazing how beat the muscle can get in so short a time.
Today I'm gonna just enjoy myself I think. But tomorrow it's back to the gym.

I have to add though, that the leg program, while still effective, was a deload of sorts. I didn't go to push myself all the way.
I also carried 30 stones and placed up a driveway yesterday. Each stone at about 40-45kgs, (damn it's harder to handle a stone than a plate weighing the same),
so I noticed I got a sort of back workout as well.
I've also had to back down on the AAS for this week. Just to much shit from life being flung at me right now,
and I noticed that the tren and DBOL didn't exactly help my outlook on things when things were difficult.
Not ideal at all, and we'll see how much it will matter in the end,
but hopefully it won't matter that much, I'll still do a high cruise until feeling better, hopefully during next week.
I would actually caution this to all that fairly new to AAS;
They can make you feel good and they can make you feel worse, heavily dependent on outside circumstances.
If life becomes a shit storm, take a step back and breath; and remember that depending on the circumstances it might be prudent to lower AAS to a high cruise (you can grow on that), instead of pushing your sanity.

Things work out.
Today did back/lats;
Intresting to do supersets with deadlifts.
That took some effort.
Deadlifts
St. Row} 3 sets; last one 8 heavy reps
Deadlifts:
Bent over sideways row-DB: }2 sets
Lat pull close grip: 3 sets
Seated lat pull: 3 sets
45min (-6m warmup)
All in all a good workout!
Tried to get good mind muscle connection.
Now, I notice that this weeks of a bit "less is more"
approach has actually done me well.
Muscles are full and joints feel good.
And I'm ready for more.
I think next week I'll up the volume a bit where I feel needed,
but also try to contain myself a little.
I've blasted volume a bit much, some HIIT and deload days, then some tweaking the routines, and try to grow a little.

Shoulders today. Oh it was good!
At the end I had to run towards a lat pull just to pull my shoulders or the burn would have made me scream. Think the guy that watched me stumble in agony towards the lat pull thought I had a heart attack at first.
Shoulder press -DB (+3 feeler/warm up sets)
Bent over rear delt-DB
St. military press BB
Lateral raise DB
Front raise-plate
Cable rear delt
3 sets for all excersizes
Lateral raise plates
Dips } tripped set at 12reps with no breaks between sets, BURN!!
Shoulder press Mach 3 sets
Shrugs 3 sets
42min (+7min warm up= 49min total)

Flyes-DB
Bench press
Flyes-DB} (both pre and post exhaust) 3,4,2 sets
Inc. press-DB
Pullover (focused on hitting pecs)
Converging chest press 3sets, last set=drop set
Dips
Pull ups (yeah it ain't back day but fuck it!)
TT: 53min (-6m warmup)
Monday and it's a holy day of sorts, so no shops open and I'm out of groceries.
Luckily I found a immigrant shop not bound by state laws and could buy some fucking milk and nuts at least
And gym was open, ill need a third gym membership if this shit continues to aggravate me. (Yeah I have a second allready)
Anyway, good day.
50mg a bomb some hours before gym,
11u NovoRapid right after.
Now it's time to eat.
Things are going good overall,
still some daily stress but i got the right mindset for BS now.
Hope to get a week of awesome work done.
We'll see how that goes.

Tuesday: 2h of fencing/cardio plus some explosive work.
Saturday: leg program
This week has been a bit light due to birthday celebrations, etc.
but I've managed to get some good work done nonetheless,
and while it's more celebrations today, I hope to be able to train tomorrow.
3 lifting days in a week plus some hours of cardio and I can be sorta satisfied.
But next week WILL be more lifting.
This week just had a lot of stuff I couldn't control.
Might be I've forgot a workout I've done too, not sure,
it's been really hectic.
Will be back.

Wow, I haven't updated in a while I see.
Hard week this one.
Anyways, Sunday and I did:
Chest/pecs program
Volume/powerlifting with some supersets here and there.
Got a not so good progress pic at least
Will continue the work this week to come.
Soon I'll need to start my cut as well.
Get that fat down a notch.
Happy Sunday all!

Ok, so i managed to push in a second workout today.
2hours of fencing. (Not high intensity all the way, but enough)
This is a good start of the week.
I'll try to do more of this, hopefully 3 fencing sessions of 2 hours each, and lifting as many days as I can.
I hope this will accomplish some fat loss,
as in my experience the best way to cut fat is to just up the amount of moderate cardio activity I do and basically eat the same.
Will be funny to see how this goes.

Today I was hoping to just to some cardio,
but I am wrecked. It's been too much and too little sleep.
Tomorrow though,
I'll make up for it and have some serious lifting done.
Wish u all a happy Tuesday!

Hell yeah!
Did two workouts today!
First one was lifting;
Powerlifting and volume, one superset only.
Lars/back program with heavy deadlifts.
Took me about 1h10min.
Then I did 2hours of HEMA. (Let's just say cardio)
Now I'm wrecked and ready for bed!
Oh, some food first would be nice.

That's actually over 3 hours of training today.
Rest day yesterday, and 2hours and 40min on Monday.
So I've trained nearly 6 hours this far in the week.
Not bad if I do say so myself.

I looked up HEMA, there's one here in my city. They do German Longsword. What style(?), or weapon do you do?

Yesterday I did German longsword.
I really like that the best, as it's the type of fencing where being strong does have an advantage when going into a bind,
as you can use grappling and such,
not to mention it is easier to keep center as you will have a little bit of of a leverage strength.
It's also very fun.
Sword and buckler is pretty cool too.
Rapier is just for technique, nothing I'll ever be very good at, but still fun.

Quite wrecked today.
Just took 52mg phenylpiracetam (1738) to see if that helps.
I used the same 100mg measure scoop as last time, but weighing it at a dig. scale it was just 52mg. So I'll stick to that and see if the effects were like last time when I thought I took 100mg and it was a bit much.

Shoulder day today;
St. BB military press
Lateral raise-DB
Seated shoulder press-DB
Front raise
Cable shoulder press
Horizontal pull
Dips
Horizontal pull
Often 3 sets, reps range from 8-20
50min; high intensity!
Lots of superset and tri sets to make it fun.
The 52mg phenylpiracetam didn't do much.
I then drank 1/2L of Red Bull (I'm on long acting slin today's anyway to rejuvenate my wrecked body) and I noticed it.
Will log this in my phenylpiracetam thread I guess.
