Lucky you. I'd love to be in there with you but where I live you can't hunt anything at night with a centerfire, and you can't hunt hogs at all. We had too many knuckleheads taking piglets and releasing them in the wild so they'd grow up feral, usually on land they don't own, often public land. Then they come back two or three years later looking to hunt them as growed-up hawgs. So we had more crops being destroyed by captive-born hogs that had been turned loose than by wild-born. The game & fish folks thought they'd remedy that by taking hogs off the list of game animals and making them "nuisance" animals. As a nuisance animal, only a land-owning farmer can hunt them, along with his duly-appointed assistant hunters, the exact number of which is dependent on how much land he owns.

And good luck with the optic. Let us know how it works out.

    Nice!
I sold a yugo m48 8mm I regeret like hell. It was just a cheapo with a beat up stock but i noticed the metal was literally 100% and zero machine marks so I refinished the pos stock. When I got done that gun was absolutely musem quality perfect. I sold it for three times book value. Today I would pay three times that to have it back. Love old curio and relic military rifles!
I get pretty horny over m98 mausers.

Me to there my favorite. I had a 30 cal carbine made by plansfield I had to sale after the ex wife and jody decided to drag my ass threw divorce court. I lost a lot of really cool guns. My cousin works at Douglas barrels, he put an action out of a 98k on a 7mm magnum barrel for me. That Rifle was the cats ass, the real bees knees but Jody gets us all eventually

The dad is a McCoy from Boone County by god West Virginia so we are related to every body in that state. It was one of those family favors. I just paid for the barrel and he fit it for free

How much did you pay for that?

I've seen some really nice work on social media lately. I normally just do my own.

You need to check out the apex trigger with a 3.5 lb ghost connector for that 19, it's well worth it

Finished the 9mm AR last night, going to test it today

I've heard some people have issues with the bolt and buffer systems, the QTC10 bolt is pretty heavy and I'm running a 308 spring with spacer

Nice MS! Looks to be real light weight.

I'm still waiting for this deal to come up again, then I'll start some new builds. Want to build a 9mm glock ARlower pistol, SBR .300 blackout, and 2 .223s, one for my dad and one for my step dad.

Those sound like fun guns to build. I want to build an AR pistal or SBR for a truck gun.

I have the same line wolf pin kit and extended slide release on my g29

Also got a lightning strike adjustable trigger, lightning strike titanium striker and auto fireing pin block.

3lb striker spring, 6lb trigger bar spring, lightened afpb spring, high polish everything in side, ghost ultimate 3.5lb connector, and 9x25 Dillon conversion barrel

At first before I pitcher all squared away, it ran wild because trigger was adjusted a bit to zealous.

Only had 7 in mag, but it almost killed me having 7 hot 10mm's go full auto.
I don't know how to post pics from desktop site. Do I have to image host them?

Same as your 45 and 40 are

Bought 19 to 25 for a box of 50 fmj, bout 19 to 25 for a box of 20-25 jhp.
This is for your 9f2f the shelf stuff

I buy from underwood ammo, even cheaper, and loaded to full potential

My favorite round is the 155g jhp, 1500 fps, 774 lbs muzzle energy out of a 4" tube

I never fell into the 9mm .40 click.
45 acp and 45 long colt are two rounds I cant get away from.
With pistols to me its not the ft lbs of energy capability but rather the amount of energy displaced on the target.
Lots of pass through shots from 9mm on video where the taget is jacked up on adrenaline or drugs and isnt phased by the first two rounds.
This wont be thecase with 45 colt or acp. The fat slow terds lrt loose a haymaker on impact with the right round and can flat stretch a perp out.
That being said mag research has a 44 mag eagle I would love to have.

Shota deer at 30 feet with a 4570 and it layed down dead. Shot another at 350 yrds nd it rolled the terd.
Unless shooting armor faster isnt necessarily better in my eyes.

Hollow points that hit with that energy expand like flowers rarely go through.

Its the energy deposited on target which makes a clean kill

When a slug from a 10mm or 44 mag stays in the target or animal, hydrostatic shock happens and drops animal on the spot.

So yes faster with proper expanding projectile is absolutely neccesary.

    https://youtu.be/Xudrvq2kKoU

Drops a buck at 50 yards with a 10mm long slide. No running just plops over

Yes definitely but 99.99% of 9mm and 40 rounds will pass through with very little energy deposited on target.
Just for arguments sake, I have dropped deer in their tracks with a 22 lr single shot. Matter of fact as the clock struck 12 in the year 2000, I was still getting one out of the field I had done the same with.
It is difficult to get a 45 round that doesnt pass through a human even a hydroshock will pass through unless it hits spine. Regardless the energy deposited is still twice as high as a 9mm.

That's because most ammunition off the shelf isn't pushing the hollow point at 1100 feet per second or greater they will not expand at velocities under that benchmark not with any kind of reliability

The Federal Hydra-Shok is one of the junkiest hollow point rounds they make

If the bullet expands it's not going through and I can guarantee 150 grain slug going 1500 feet per second is going to open up as soon as it hits organic matter

A .45 hydrashock will deposit more energy on a human than any 9mm round you find. I have shot a lot lot lot of animals.
    9mm sucks a dick.
Yes they do make better hollow points.

Couch if you get the chance look up the fbi's miami incident and why they dropped the 9mm hollowpoint.

A former ranger in a shootout with the fbi killed two agents and wounded another beause their pea shooters just werent getting the job done. One 45 hydrashock would have ended it and no one would have died.

Anyone watched that video of the homeless guy with the knife recently? He took a round and proceeded to chase the cop around with the knife for ten min

Dude. Lol I'm a 10mm nut. You think I don't know about that.

Two mad men with mini14's eating 9mm and 38's like it was nothing.

The thing with big cannon rounds is, shot placement become irrelevant as energy gets upwards into 800 pounds area.

Tag someone in the shoulder with a 454 casull he's dead

Oh I actually despise glocks. The only reason I have one is because I needed a easy platform that was cheap for a 9x25 Dillon conversion

Nothing like 2100 fps out a pistol
