How can you overdose on steroids ?insulin and maybe a few other substances but not the hormone itself ..it's prob just the media demonizimg steroids ..

The insulin thing sounds about right.

That's a very tricky thing to dose, and you don't get the same result over time and with different types, or even a bottle with a little less or more age on it than your others you've used

Could be using a bunch of bottles that are going and less potent, then a new batch comes that's real fresh and your 6 units before now feel and act like 12

Forgive my paranoia, but there is a tendency for people in the law enforcement industry to tell the truth less frequently than people who are not in that industry. The amount of times I've gone into court to watch a cop swear on the bible and then go on to tell bare-faced lies about me.

There is some garbage heroin that's been cut with clandestine fentanyl that's not milked properly, giving the batch extreme "hot spots".

I live in northeast Ohio, we loose 3 a day here with over a dozen reported overdoses.

Lost a friends years ago I went to school with. In the process of getting my cousin clean as well.

FYI song, im seriously not discussing rec. Drugs just helping get facts straight.

I for one would never promote opiates of any kind.

The brain can only heal in a coma as far as I know. They told my brother he would be dead from progressive neuropathy many years ago. They said when he started having seizures they would put him into a coma and allow him to heal. He had seizure after seizure and said nothing. He just thought his time was coming, called me a lot at night apologizing for past problems between us.

He is doing better now. Less seizures but hopelessly addicted to opiates. He eats enough oxycontin 80's per day to kill everyone reading this.
What I have taken from what I have seen is that once they put you under into a coma your odds are slimming hard.
Before my brother got his skull shattered he was a different person. Nicer so to speak.
If Rich comes out and I hope he does, he will not be the same guy to anyone.
My brothers favorite neurosergeon said "Cat scans and MRI's are useless most times." He said he had seen scans that showed certain death and the person lived a normal life and others that seemed fine but the patient was dead.
Next beer is for my brother and Rich, heres to living many many years past your death sentence.

Not an update, but the apparent reason for the condition is brain trauma from a hard fall, nothing to do with steroids (lol @ steroid overdose) or any other drug.

It checks out with the induced coma, as induced coma is used for an brain healing on trauma. On ODs you want to bring the guy out of the coma not back into it.

I thought an article said there was some white powder and straws? Pure speculation but I would guess heroine/opiates, I thought I remember reading they gave him multiple doses of narcan, an anti-opiate drug.

If he took too much he could have passed out and hit his head on the way down. The narcan would have counter acted whatever opiates he had and he would have been left with the head injury.

When I was a paramedic I worked a similar call. A woman was using heroin, took too much and passed out. She smashed her head on the bathroom counter on the way down, was hard to say if she died from massive blood loss or the overdose. Worst part? Kids were in the next room.
