Prolonging Eye Health
Well, I have been really paying attention to my vision here over the last year. Pretty much ever since my last CDL Physical which I barely passed the vision exam on.
My vision has been 20/20 all the way till now -
Last time I spoke to my dad, I got from him that his vision really started to decline at my age(close to 40).
Can anything be done to prolong my vision here? My dad's vision now at 60 is awful & he can barely drive - but, he won't wear glasses or correct his vision with anything
Number one to "us" juicers here - is BP. . . . My BP is excellent now, using nothing but homeopathic remedies(and Cialis). Running constant mid 70 over mid 130's < this is what my BP was before I ever started joocing.
Thoughts? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

my eye sight is still good for now at 36, but i know it will soon start to diminish because of phones and computers.
sometimes when i am fatigued, i start to see some halos around lights when driving so i am probably due to get my vision checked. cannot remember the last time i went but it was 20/10 i think.
father time is undefeated

You can look into Lasek. Had it done years ago, was expensive but from what I see now can probably have both eyes done for a dime or so.

Make sure you get some sunlight into your eyes. I know the trend at the moment is to say all UV light is bad for eyes, but morning sunlight in your eyes decreases cortisol (and many people have elevated cortisol and no one knows why) and lets you body have more substrate hormones to make sex hormones.
That's a good effect, but it's not directly relevant because it doesn't help improve the eyes. So I can tell you that I have used sunlight to reduce the prescription of my contacts lenses. I get reasonable amounts of light at sunrise and sunset (not midday, intense sun), and have done for the better part of a year. My prescription is .75 less in one eye, and .50 less in the other eye. This is the first time in my life my prescription has improved.
I mentioned it to my eye doc, when he told me I needed a weaker prescription, and his response was "We have known for a long time that natural sunlight is important for eyesight." - Funny how all you hear about is UV being terrible for eyes.
Blue light in computers and artificial light on the other hand is terrible for eyes. Want to help your eyes? Get some blu-tech lenses and wear them whenever you're looking at a computer or any kind of screen to reduce the huge amount of blue light from devices.

interesting
i love to hunt, so i am in the early sun a lot of time. i also focus on things distances away to try to keep my eyes sharp. i may need to try it a little more.
i believe the phone and computer will eventually take a toll on my eyes, especially with the light. i put my phone in night mode around dusk and keep it there until about 7-800 in the morning. night mode gives it a soft amber look to help. i think there are now glasses that help out with this as well

I've heard of this happening before but not too sure what this is about. Regarding running gear I've had once in a rare while some kind of vision issue for a few minutes out of my day. This is rare for me but I've had it happen out of nowhere and have heard this can happen with running gear and blurred vision. Its rare for me and happened twice where I actually noticed it and had to research it

Just heavy doses of test, happened like twice in this year where I had blurred vision for a minute or so. It could have just been me being tired or something else. Blurred vision was after injection.....
-Maybe even knicked a nerve/vein or something and got a little test in the vein..

Good info -
Morning sun light it is - y not. Funny, I just noticed the other day - morning is the only time I don't have my Oakleys glued to my head.
The wife just got LASIK this year - me & her have the same vision quality now. Before the procedure, she could only see this sized text about 3-4" from her face without glasses or contacts.
