Dear Diary
Does anyone use a diary (either for fitness or something else entirely) ? I've been thinking about going digital rather than pen and paper but wanted something beyond microsoft word + excel documents. Anyone have any recommendations ? Has to be free.

Right now I have 2.5 years worth of training logs. They are like ancient scriptures, you need a researcher to try and read them, it's my handwriting lol. My little notebooks have been very good for me. A lot of times I go back to see what I have been doing to try and figure out the best attack to get out of that staleness and find something as new as possible.
I wish I had all of them, I would have had about 12 years worth of training logs by now, I threw them away RIP memories, RIP the notes I had on conditioning, I had some limitless endurance for martial arts back in the day and had worked my way up to a pretty good HIIT routine...

What type of book do you use to keep your training log? I've just been using the "notebook" school-style option from the dollar store. It's $1.50 for a 3 pack and each one has about 50 pages.
I considered getting a fancy leather journal but figured i'll spend hundreds filling it over the years

"Simple workout log" on the google play store. It works great. You can input your routines, different exercises, it will track and graph your progress for you, has a timer if you are like me and cant count to 60 without getting distracted. Easy to use. Highly recommended.
I used to just use a regular notebook, but the cover and pages would start falling off. Pain in the butt, never going back now Ive gone digital

Fitness related, I use the Strong app and MyFitnessPal. I log everything in there as well as my thread in the nutrition section
