Just watched Bad Santa with wifee. She'd never seen it. Got all our family/friends activities done last weekend so Christmas eve/day is just us. I offered casino trip but she's hurting from PT. Probably do lunch there tomorrow

The doctor told me to take prilosec until the test are over and I see him again.I took one yesterday and today and feel like a new man. My appetite is the best it's been in 7 weeks.
I've never had heartburn or anything in the last 2 months.
No idea but I'll take it.

Diesel, I started Prilosec years ago and it changed my life. I can eat anything I want now. I'm not excited about the long term use side effects but I have to take it. I've had heartburn/indigestion or whatever causes that burning since I was like 15 yo. I'm sure my southern diet which has included way too many fried foods on top of dipping when I was younger had a lot to do with it but almost everyone in my immediate family has it.

So just curious. The doctor didn't tell you the reason behind prescribing the Prilosec? I mean if it's helping that much I would be doing just as you are. I'm just wondering what symptom made him prescribe it to you if you weren't having heartburn. Maybe loss of appetite made him think there was some acid issues.

The loss of appetite, nausea after eating and blood work shows some type of inflammation were the symptoms.
