I think that is one lesson he is starting to learn, we'll see. I think he is slowly starting to see how convoluted the process is to make changes (and there's faults on both sides of the aisle in that department).
I have no confidence nor do I like their election platform of the Democrats There are faults within both parties, but the Democratic Party of today bears little to no/resemblance to the Democratic Party of my youth ...I know that was decades ago.
Again, all I can say is vote your conscience, don't be swayed by the media, but instead do your own research.

One thing is for sure, the destruction of municipal and federal property in the guise of peaceful protests has got to stop. I have lots of respect for people that are adult enough to peacefully protest and state their point.
These miscreants that are destroying building and seizing areas to form autonomous zones do not espouse or care about American principles or the citizens of this country and at best make a mockery of the First Amendment; not to mention they are destroying people's livelihoods and in some cases taking their lives.
<Samson>, good morning , buddy!! I pray you are well and continuing in your out-fvcking-standing recovery. Hope I didn't derail your the thread you created for this discussion. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I agree here 100%...!!!
Whoever is "unlucky enough" to win the election is going to have to step in and take control of the streets / cities affected areas...
I would like to believe that, whoever it is, be it Dem or Rep, they will man-up and do what is required...
I hope that the democrats are not so soft as to afford the BLM / Antifa / and all the rest a free hand, like we have seen for the past month or so... I feel that the incoming President will make this his first priority. Of course, it will be cloaked in the soft touch, carrot and stick approach... Inviting the leadership, the movement in for talks, opening dialogue, but simultaneously cracking down, as gently as is still effectively possible, and cleaning the streets...
Samson, I do not mean to contribute to hijacking your thread... But, in all fairness, as things tend to do here on the forum; it has taken a turn, sprouted wings, and gone off on it's own direction... Remember my friend: Russia is not a destination, it is a state of mind...

Yeah Charger69, I have to agree with you...
He is by no means perfect...
Look at some of the intelligent, well-admired individuals who have quit his administration. General Mattis and Rex Tillerson, to name only two...
So, there must be some difficulty / difficulties inherent in working with the man...
Lets hope for the best...

I really don't care who wins.
Both of them are crooked buffoons controlled by their handlers. So on election day, I'm going to follow Brewster's Millions lead and vote for "none of the above."

I would say definitely on the democratic front. You have lifetime politicians. On the republican front, I would disagree although true to a certain extent.
The reason that some people like Trump is because he is not handled by anyone.:. It at least it is difficult to handle him. That is why some people love him and some hate him. I think the term maverick was used at the beginning of his time in office.
If both parties don’t get their act together and start us moving forward, we will no longer be a superpower.
AG for president! LOL

^^^^^ agreed.
Always loved Colin Powell too. Both he and Rice got as far away from politics as they could.
It’s a shame, we could use them both
