Glad you're back. You are full of positive energy and at heart a good person. It was rough to worry about what had happened to you. I suppose that is a distcintion between you and others who have been banned. It was obvious that the person who got banned needed to be banned but that wasn't the real OBS. Glad to see the real OBS again.

I just had my L4 L5 disc slip around and it took my breath away three times in my kitchen. This is a big money week for me that will change things and I can't have this shit right now when my back goes out it takes months to heal. I am literally too scared to take a dump right now. If anybody out there read this please say a prayer for me because I can't have this right now I just got back to work.

Get an inversion table and use it every day if you don’t already have one. You’re on your feet and putting a lot of compression pressure on your spine. Also see a chiropractor and/or massage therapist. I think those two things together will really help you.

I have done everything as far as my back goes guys. I spent most of this winter limping around and a lot of time immobile. I made it to the bathtub and laid in it for a while and it seems to be easing up. I absolutely hate the pain when it finally does jump out. I swear I am a giant pussy

Welcome aboard, and congratulations to the forum administrator for giving us a lesson in maturity and humility. You are a guy who always had my consideration OBS.
Welcome brother! And if I could tell GH to come back it would be something epic too.

Nope, man, no way. At first when the pain is chronic, you think it's just pain, that means I'm alive and you keep pushing.
After a while though, the pain turns into a blinding wall and when it goes on month after month, well, it gets to be a real no-sh!tter.... affects pretty much everything you do or want to do.There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Day by day brother…incremental steps.
Celebrate the highs and don’t be deterred by the lows.
It’s my mantra.
Do you have any house plants Obs? I know fall is upon and winter is near but come spring, plant a couple of perennials.
Sounds hokey, but gardening has been some of the best medicine I’ve found. Can’t start with a seed, a cutting or just something young and rooted. Give it a whirl. Find something indoors for now (thank me later, lol)
Regardless you’re in my prayers, feel free to reciprocate

That’s almost as cruel as kicking someone’s pet, damn dude. I’m sorry. Some people are just cruel.
Well first that puts a stupid smile on my face knowing you like to garden….I had no fucking clue until recently how cathartic it is.
Second, go buy a houseplant or two brother and show em some love. Lol
I’m telling you Obs, even some indoor gardening might help the process.
Why didn’t anyone tell me this shit earlier?

One of the things they recommend for alcoholics is to get a plant. If you can keep the plant alive and healthy than you can get a pet. If you can keep that pet alive and healthy and not wanting for things for a year so then you might possibly be able to think about a relationship with someone.

When I felt my relationship slipping and I could feel that I was not the same guy and I knew I was going down the slide, I got a dog from a customer. It was a rescue dog but she was so smart and she did not bark at anyone she was a Louisiana Catahoula leopard dog. She had separation anxiety so bad that I would go to work and she would have to stay in my apartment for 8 hours alone and I would get home and she would be shaking.
I got on Facebook and told people that I needed this dog to go to a home where she would be around people 24/7 because I couldn't take care of her anymore. A local girl adopted her and I bawled my eyes out whenever I had to watch that dog go because I felt like it was myself leaving if that makes any sense. I knew I had tried and I had failed at maintaining myself.
I had thought if I could maintain that dog then I could maintain a relationship possibly with my girlfriend. I thought that dog might slow me down a little bit and make me a better person.
